We have an office in an industrial location with no good solutions for internet availability.

We got a quote from Hughesnet dish. Anyone use it? Reliable?

if it rains/snows its done

That's been my experience as well. However, if you're looking between Hughesnet and cellular, I'd go with Hughesnet. My family has a farm in rural Alabama and the only options there are cellular, dialup and Hughesnet. Obviously we went with Hughesnet and we've been generally satisfied.

Its a good solution and the bandwidth is decent.

Issue with any satellite is the latency (round trip time is very long to a satellite and back to earth) which can make it not ideal for things like VoIP, interactive WAN apps, etc.

But for streaming, downloads, etc. it works great.

A good friend of mine is an installer for both Hughesnet and Exede, and has MUCH better performance and stability with Exede. We were just talking about it the other night for a client of mine.
