Hey everyone...I'm about to pull the trigger on a 5870, I have a $100 GC for Amazon and some cash left over from selling my 4850X2. I'm just trying to decide what would be the best combo would be for a single 30" Dell. (Maybe 2 smaller 20" monitors later)

I was originally planning on buying a 5870 1GB and a Blackmagic Intensity Pro w/ HDMI IN to play my 360 on my 30" Dell (and record HD).

Should I get not buy the BM Intensity Pro and do a different combo?

Also, what would get me at least 30-40FPS @ 2560x1600 on ALL games (Except Crysis...I could care less). Should I wait out on a 5870 2GB?

Thanks everyone!

5870 is the fastest single GPU card on the streets right now. If you want the fastest single GPU card, get the 5870. Only thing that is arguably faster would be the GTX 295, but that isn't the case in some situations. I doubt you will be disappointed with the 5870

Not sure if your sig is updated..but what are you using? Would a single 5870 suffice?

I am using SLi GTX 285s on my 30 incher
-- it being enough power is up to you, from what I have read there shouldn't be any problem with one. Do some research and check out for yourself. the H review is up, I also like the Anandtech review which compares gtx 285, gtx 295, gtx 285 SLi and 5870, 5870 crossfire together at our resolution.
