3080 on the way - should I upgrade this memory?

I've got an EVGA 3080 XC Ultra on the way and currently running an 8700K on a Z390 board with 32gb 3000mhz CL15. Would it be worth it to go to 3600 CL18 or will the gains I get from the extra 600mhz be negated by the higher latency? I've been poking around but can't find anything on that specific scenario with an Intel platform.

The memory upgrade would yield a minimal performance improvement. I don't recommend it.

I would not get CL18 3600 it would probably perform similar to the 3000 at CL15.

Upgrades for mem speed are typically only noticed via benches. As long as you're around 3200MHz you're golden. At 3000Mhz CL15 that's great.

Not much "feel" but lots of synthetic goodness.
