1000 Watt Silverstone SFX-L PSU Now Available

How long ago was the 1000W SFX-L announced?? Ironically enough, it's release is tempting me into getting an 011D Mini instead of waiting for Silverstone's Alta F1.

amazon reviews are bad for this
Sounds like the review about it frying itself was due to their old modular cable sets not being compatible with this SFX-L unit. Which sounds pretty dumb if true. And no surprise, another unit with a noisy fan. Cooler Master's 850 watt SFX unit is also known for a noisy fan, however CM has put out a new revision for those units which is supposed to fix the issue.

I never really mind a noisy fan on a PSU as long as its replaceable.

We've uploaded a page explaining the differences between the three generations of modular cables we have:
https://www.silverstonetek.com/techtalk_cont.php?tid=wh_PSU_connector_design

The second generation, which applies to all SFX/SFX-L PSUs prior to the recent SX750-PT and SX1000-LPT have been in use since 2009 (the longest of any PSU brand to stick to one modular cable definition) so it was time for a change! Though admittedly a very minor one.

As for noisy fan complaints on the new models, our first production batches did have higher than normal defect on fan controller (that kept fan running even when loading returns to low/idle condition), which we corrected for subsequent batches now labeled V1.1. All SX750-PT and SX1000-LPT for sale now are all V1.1.
