I live about ~20 miles from a Microcenter and was honestly pretty underwhelmed the last time I was in there.
Unless I absolutely need something TODAY, or have to actually handle something in-person to make a buying decision; i'll just stick with Amazon.

Been wanting to do something like this for a really long time. Wife says no and that the $70 Ikea table I have is good enough.
I remember being really optimistic about this card being able to compete with ATI and nVidia of the day.
Oh well, an attempt was made!
Anybody else remember the Matrox Parhelia? :D
Looking to sell an old Apple iMac 27". The thought crossed my mind to convert this thing to a standalone monitor, but I just don't have the time and desire for a project like that right now.

I haven’t touched mine since my last update in this thread. Sitting on the shelf in a basement waiting for find a use or a new home.
I’m still using the Asus BR1100 that I bought at the same time. It’s slightly slower than the Evolve laptop, but the build quality is WAY better.
Right here.
You should be able to find the backplane bandwidth of most switches. That 100Gbps is at the network or data link layer. You’d have to be maxing out all 48 ports, both ingress and egress, and you probably still might not hit the limit of the backplane on the switch.
Hah! I noticed that too! I had one similar to that and modded it to a FireGL if I remember right.
I always liked the Rage Fury Maxx too. Shame it never made it past the Windows 9x era.
I have VS Code on my workstation, but I am not very familiar with it. From the tinkering I've done already, I was able to get a Remote SSH extension to work enough so I could develop and test remotely against a *nix system. And I was able to connect to Azure DevOps to check code. But I can't...
First and foremost, I am not a developer. Or at least I don't consider myself one. The development work I do is almost exclusively KSH and Bash scripting. KSH on AIX, and Bash on Linux.
My company is starting to use Azure DevOps for it's other development teams and I've been asked to start...
I don't suppose your near the Detroit area? I have a CoolerMaster MasterBox 5 I believe that I'm not using. Although I don't think it has the 10x 3.5" drive capacity you're looking for. I was running an E-ATX board in it though.
Having recently dealt with WOW customer support for the first time in a long time, I’m really disappointed to see how bad it’s become.
I’ve been a customer with them since about 2003 and their absolute refusal to do ANYTHING for me with the price of my cable TV service was infuriating. The...
There’s a Ubiquity Dream Router in the FS/FT section right now. I’m trying to see if I can get that.
I forgot until today when I spent some time at my dad’s that the Airport has using is also the Time Capsule for his iMac. Do even after I replace this router, I’ll still need to keep this...
Looking for matching 2x16GB of DDR4 2666mhz or faster laptop RAM for a Dell Optiplex Micro 5070.
For trade, I have LOTS of ECC DDR3 in various sizes up to and include 16GB DIMM's. Going to go look for any other items I may have for possible trade also.
It’s Wide Open West. They no longer offer cable TV and are skyrocketing the costs because he still has cable TV.
So, in order to save money I’m migrating his phone to a voip service, cable TV to an iptv service and bought my own modem to get rid of the rented gateway.
I’m getting rid of the ISP provided gateway, so this AirPort Extreme is going to be connected directly to the internet and I have 0 confidence in is security at this point. So I need something to replace it.
I need to replace my dads aging Apple Airport Extreme with something new. It's been unsupported for years now, and the only reason why I haven't done anything sooner is because it's sits behind his ISP's gateway and I've just been dealing with double-NAT until now. Now that I have the time to...
