My first was around 90 hours, 2nd was around 110, not done with 3rd playthrough yet. If you were to do everything, I think you can stretch out a playthrough to around 200-250 hours, but by that time you're extremely overpowered I bet.
Before anyone asks, I do have a job, I just WFH 3 days a...
The severe stutter from launch has been "smoothed over" there is still stutter in Vermund, but there is limited combat there. I would say wait another patch or two, hopefully they completely fix it within a month or two. It still has performance issues, like my 4090 will pull over 400w while...
I was about to write an essay on why CryEngine is amazing, but polonyc2 summed it up in a few lines.
KCD1, Crysis both portray realistic foliage, lighting, etc... There is sometimes when I was playing KCD in a forest that my brain literally confused it with reality.
I wouldn't assume the game...
Kalaiden (creator of SpecialK) explained it a few years ago, not entirely sure where the post is anymore though, I just repeated things off the top of my head.
You did say flagships, so I assumed the flagship would be the cards with the full die or nearly the full die. I always considered xx80 cards to be high end, xx70 mid range, xx60 low end, xx50 entry level.
It doesn't help scheduling on a 7800X3D do to the single CCD, but I wouldn't disable it if you do game and are on Windows 11, It improves performance in games within a DWM container if you have the option checked off "This is a game". Some games label borderless fullscreen as "Fullscreen", in...
2024, I'm so hyped, I'll have to re-play KCD soon. Since it just says 2024, I assume it will be late Q3 / or Q4.
BTW it looks like it either has RTGI or another advanced GI system. Hopefully it is CryEngine 5.7+, getting tired of all the UE5 games.
Personally after a few patches I think it is worth the $70, as long as they fix the performance in Vermund. I bought it for like $50-60 as a pre-order from either fanatical or gamebillet, I started a 3rd playthrough now and have over 200 hours played. Any game that offers this much replayability...
Yea even if 5070Ti was 10% slower than a 4090 it would still be a very fast card, for significantly cheaper. I don't see why people should complain about it, like they're entitled to match a the previous gen flagship, if they want flagship performance just buy the xx90 series.
The other guy who I responding to was referring to 5070 being slower than a 4090 like it's very uncommon, which it isn't. Not a 5070 Ti, I expect a 5070 Ti to be around the same performance of a 4090. Guessing a 5080 will be about 10% faster than a 4090 and a 5090 being around 40%-60% faster...
I wasn't even talking about xx70 vs xx90. I was talking about generational performance. But I don't see what you're getting at saying that a 70 series card matches the previous generations flagship.
770 does not beat or equal Titan
970 does not beat or equal Titan Black
1070 beats Titan X...
Capcom has a survey up, asking for player feedback: https://www.enqform.capcom.com/form/pub/form1/dd2_en1
There is a section for `likes` and `dislikes` about the game, also asks what type of DLC you would want in the game. If I were to guess they will be feeding these surveys into an ChatGPT or...
Not sure if anyone had this, but my display in gamer1 defaulted to a brownish tint. I have since calibrated it and have 97.5% p3 which is slightly lower than the advertised 98.5%, I could probably put a little more effort into calibrating it and get it at the advertised, but the out of the box...
It would be a 25-30% performance uplift, it is relatively standard over the past 20 years. I wouldn't say it's a "poor gen on gen improvement". There have been generations were we only saw a 15-20% uplift.
There are a few generations that stand out that exceeded that: Ada Lovelace, Pascal, Kepler
I actually don't remember what was wrong and why people were giving it negative reviews. I might just pick it up, I been gradually getting in the racing game mood lately.
I'm on my 2nd playthrough and am still excited to play every chance I get. It actually gives me the same vibes I had when playing DD1. I think I will be playing this game on and off for years so I hope they add a few expansions, I would certainly buy them. I have 120 hours played and that says a...
You can solo DD2, I think thief would be the best solo class, maybe fighter and warrior as well but they would require a lot of consumables, thief would not. I'll probably do a solo game after I finish my 2nd playthrough & NG+. This game is good enough to hold my interest for a long time.
It overwrites your previous save. It would be nice if they added additional character slots.
I understand why they do it this way, so you can't just summon your pawns from other saves to transfer items to low level pawns. If they made it so you can't summon your pawns from other saves I don't...
The stories have nothing to do with each other, they are similar but in different worlds. Both DDDA and DD2 are very good games, DD2 has more simplified mechanics, it isn't worse for that though, the game is very good if you like games centered around exploration.
I sunk 91 hours into my first...
Yesterday I noticed scars on my pawn that I never put there. I'm wondering if this is related to dragon plague or do scars appear overtime? I did get the dragon plague pop-up tip today, which makes me think my pawn has dragon plague, but it happened when I was recruiting additional pawns. That's...
Not sure how reliable this guy is but I found another review of the LG 32GS95UE on youtube. He seems to think it is pretty good, BUT I did watch a few of his other OLED videos afterwards and he seems to always says positive things about them, so he might just be a fanboy...
Personally I don't think 400 nits is adequate, it's one reason I stuck with my X27 for so long. I remember also with that 27" OLED the HDR was nowhere close to my X27 even with the better black levels of OLED, HDR on that OLED almost looks like SDR on an X27, a more vibrant of course.
I am at a...
If I encounter flickering I'll post it in this thread, I know some games to test, Hogwarts, Alan Wake 2, and if anyone knows of other games with flicker let me know I'll test them. I pre-ordered the display I should have it mid April (Week of the 15th).
I'll probably get this display. Might just pre-order it. But people need to quit calling these OLEDs "end game displays", we'll always get better displays in the future. OLED is still in it's infancy, the lighting will get brighter, the burn-in prevention will be more sophisticated, OLED will...
I've only had displays with G-Sync modules over the last 10 years other than the short time I had the LG OLED, so that's probably why I wasn't aware of that.
That makes a lot of sense, the only game I actually had the issue on my 27" OLED was Hogwarts Legacy, it was probably because the frametimes in that game were all over the place.
