But yes Mini-led is my preferred tech by far.
I love my PA32UCG peaks out at just over 1800 nits god if only it had a Gsync module.
I would never replace it.
Indeed i have the UCG and its border is THICK but it doesnt have a huge backprint or anything it is quite heavy unfortunately.
I have only heard the fan a few times usually when i have multiple windows on O3DE opened

Here you go dual layer LED with OLED level blacks and 2000 nit sustained 100% window brightness!!
Only $32,000!!
Inno is absolutely fantastic value at its price point its the best value panel out there right now.
Asus/Acer are way way overpriced for very marginal improvements.
MicroLED in monitor format is probably like 10yrs away lol.
Still using DP 1.4 as the premier connectivity from 2016.
PC users really get shafted with monitor tech its way way behind TVs
Fuck i just want something that will last at least 5years especially with the pricing and cost of living in Sydney.
Something that will not look like a abomination in Picture Quality after 2 or 3 years.
The RTINGS torture tests are truly terrifying for OLED and LED.
Then why is there so panels documented from reddit desktop icons being burned in permanently?
Linus OLED got burned in as well along with his other employees
Did they fix the HDR tone mapping that has plagued the Odyssey line up?
Have a Neo G9 49 inch and the HDR pales in comparison to my Asus 32UCG despite claiming to have *2000 nit peak* and a further 900 dimming zones.
A LOT determines when your using OLED in a PC environment is how many hours? if you use it like 2-3hrs per day it wont matter what you do it will be fine for years.
The concerns arise with heavy usage 10-12hrs a day managing workloads on it.
I feel OLED was never designed to be used in a PC environment with all the static elements and challenges it presents for the panel.
But i have heard stories that it can be doable with extensive micro managing such as hiding all icons/auto hide taskbar/black wallpaper/screensaver if you leave...
Number one factor concern (by farr) that is stopping a LOTT of power focussed gamers is burn in with OLED especially in a PC environment with the cost of living they want something that is going to last at least 5+ years with usage of 10-12hrs a day (esports players push that to 16+).
With the...
When you get blacks almost as good as OLED from a top Mini-Led panel along with the capability of having 3x as much peak brightness without any migitating risks in a PC environment well the choice was easy in my case especially.
I work with so many grading apps adobe premier and cc which you...
Smaller size TV's always suffer its the same with Samsung and their Quantum HDR the bigger sets get the full spectrum while the smaller panels get a toned down version of it.
The difference is vast the richness of colors my panel has 89% rec 2020 coverage and its much more vibrant than the DCI-P3 color space.
Its going to be years if ever Rec 2020 becomes mainstream in monitors its reserved for reference monitors at this stage.
I think if you really are determined to make OLED work as a PC monitor you need two screens a decent LED for productivity/grading color and then use the OLED for content consumption (HDR gaming/Movies) that way the bulk of the usage is done on the LED and you have OLED for leisure/entertainment.
Thats fair im on the PC from the moment i wake to the time i go to sleep from grading work to then leisure having a OLED as a PC monitor well makes little sense in my case especially when it will be used 14hrs a day.
