    Radeon RX 7900 GRE Review

Those are impressive gains and shows bandwidth can still be a significant bottleneck, even with infinity cache. The 7900 GRE is now unmatched in the higher end $/perf

PS5 Pro specs confirmed & analysis

4 TB of RDNA should be much better that 4 TB of Polaris. Also thr Series S has 8 + 2 GB of memory. 2 GB are slower but still usable for system processes. So, the Series S has a faster cpu, better gpu. more memory and only similar bandwidth.

PS5 Pro specs confirmed & analysis

The CPU doesn't determine how much throughput the gpu needs... here is again a gpu with infinity cache so apples to oranges. Bandwidth can be the only explanation of how poor performance is with the Series S lately. The paltry 227 GB/s bandwidth keeps it at PS4pro levels of performance in...

PS5 Pro specs confirmed & analysis

The concern was bandwidth. 576 GB/s seem like alot compared to an RX 6800, but thats not really comparable as those gpus use Infinity cache. The One X had 326 GB/s, so the new pro model is not even double. The non-infiniti cache nvidia counterparts such as the rtx 3080 were running 760 gb/s...

PS5 Pro specs confirmed & analysis

Yep, no way they would have bothered with Jaguar in 2017 on the One X and PS4pro if it would have been just as easy to move to a better architecture. Zen 2 should still be able to hit 60 fps in just about everything. Would have been nice if they would have pushed to a 384 bit bus like the One X...

PS5 Pro specs confirmed & analysis

So yeah, it's basically an 8 core Renoir CPU which is basically Zen 2 with less cache and lower latency. Generally, the R7 4800s performs worse than even an R5 3600, so yeah, more cache would have been a massive improvement. https://youtu.be/cZS-4PgD4SI?si=6y8fNh_K5dx7BsmJ

PS5 Pro specs confirmed & analysis

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't 8 cores of Zen 2 be more akin to a 3700x? Seems like they could have done much better on the cpu side, even with power limits. Got it that the GPU is the most important part - improvements there and with bandwidth look similar to ps4 to ps4 pro but far...

    NVIDIA RTX 50 “Blackwell” GB202 GPU GDDR7 384-bit memory

There is likely a point of diminishing returns for cache, but it could prove to be a more cost effective way of compartmentalizing products for the manufacture instead of 'fusing off' good silicon.

    NVIDIA RTX 50 “Blackwell” GB202 GPU GDDR7 384-bit memory

Yep, it's why the 4070ti Super seems to be weaker against the 4080 than many would have guessed.

    NVIDIA RTX 50 “Blackwell” GB202 GPU GDDR7 384-bit memory

Then again, 96 bit gddr7 will be the same speed as 128 bit gddr6x or around 160 bit gddr6. That should be fast enough foe the mid range and 12 GB would be a perfect vram size for that performance level.

    NVIDIA RTX 50 “Blackwell” GB202 GPU GDDR7 384-bit memory

So same chip capacity at speeds 1/3 faster than gddr6. https://www.techpowerup.com/320185/nvidia-geforce-rtx-50-series-blackwell-to-use-28-gbps-gddr7-memory-speed So basically a 192 bit gddr7 would be the same speed as a 256 bit gddr6x. That's not factoring in any cache speed and size...

    Nvidia 3050 6GB review

HUB finally reviews the mini 3050: https://youtu.be/eRVYK9LtHLc?si=62Qlx4Dq_SaM4xns His only real complaint was the naming. The Radeon 6600 is a better bang for the buck but the 3050 6 gb has some nice benefits: efficiency, form factor, no 6 pin, Cuda encoding, RTX. Interesting that nvidia...

That's the thing. Anker might be the best of them - most electronics (that will not become obsolete) are designed to fail for the sake of future sales. Just frustrated with all the trash.

    Radeon RX 7900 GRE Review

Really don't know why the $500 - $600 range needs so much overlap. Why - so we can play some poorly coded AAA title at 1080p? What we need is a 7700 non-xt for around $350 with both 7600 cards dropping $30 or so. It's time game developers work again to match the hardware most have while...

Anker - The Most Overated Electronics Brand!

Anker seems to get great reviews with nearly all of their products, but I have been burned so many times. - Cables: Can no longer be bad luck at this point. On average, they last no longer than generic ones and I have wasted way too much money on them. - Portable generator: I have the...

    Radeon RX 7900 GRE Review

Really mixed reviews. HUB wasn't a fan, Digital Foundary thought it was the best gpu to come out in a while. It's a shame that I that it has even slower memory than the 7800xt. Seems to be holding the card back to near 7800xt levels depending on the scenario.

[Wccftech] Nvidia to unleash 6400 XT competitor next year based on cut down RTX 3050

First real benchmarks I found, and so surprises. https://www.techpowerup.com/review/nvidia-geforce-rtx-3050-6-gb/31.html Right between a 1660 Super and a 1060 or right where a GTX 1660 is. The 3050 8GB is right at 30% faster, which lines up as well.

    8700g, 8600g, and 8500g Reviews

Power consumption requires high end cooling when there is only about 1 in^2 of surface area. This not only increase the price but makes it unusable in a small form factor.

[Wccftech] Nvidia to unleash 6400 XT competitor next year based on cut down RTX 3050

Given these official specs and early benchmarks, the 3050 6gb will be right at 1650s/1660 performance. Even at the expected $170, there are better cards out there for that price. Low Profile is the only worthy use for this card. Easily cheaper than the 8700g and close to an 8600g price with a...

[Wccftech] Nvidia to unleash 6400 XT competitor next year based on cut down RTX 3050

Bandwidth is 75% of the 3050 8 gb. Boost fillrate is 74.5% (base fillrate just 61.4%!) Basically a 75% 3050 so long as it holds boost frequencies. Early benchmarks show 75-80% performance where in game clocks had the 6 GB version at 76% fill rate. (1620 vs 1912 mhz)

Look at the 8500g performance, though not a top tier reviewer: https://youtu.be/cnxlwBeJtUs?si=N9bQ-sX51d-WHsiv R6 and MW2 were the only games that had a benchmark, but I was surprised that the 8500g beat the 5600g in EVERY game. Bump from the 8500g to the 8600g was 40-50+% where going from...

    Xbox Series S

It would be a great way to 'recycle' the hardware. Same specs, just different node. There would only be 3 platforms to develop for: Series S / next handheld, Series X, Next X instead of 4: one s, one x, Series s, Series x

https://youtu.be/J6Fn3H8EmNk?si=6ZSA6K1OeWyS9Mpp Obviously not a match to a GTX 1060. A GTX 1050 might be a better comparison. The power consumption without STAP is rather high though:

    8700g, 8600g, and 8500g Reviews

The 8500g will likely fare the worst out of all of them as the 5600g and a cheap b550 seems like a better performer and value across the boats. Not as good for upgrading or I/O but I doubt HTPC / retro gaming owners care about that as much

    8700g, 8600g, and 8500g Reviews

It's not that close, and the 7700 is just at good at productivity as thr 7800x3d for that matter. Comparing its capabilities in productivity to a gaming cpu is a bit disingenuous for showing of its value. Other than the micro pc fans, the only reason that the 8700g appears viable is the...

    8700g, 8600g, and 8500g Reviews

For the 'micro pc' or whatever they call a PC that can't even fit an low profile gpu, the 8600g seems like the way to go. As you would be power constrained anyway, there is not much to gain with the 8700g. You would basically have a PS4 with a faster cpu. 30 fps 1080p low on heavy titles with...

    8700g, 8600g, and 8500g Reviews

Reviewers don't seem to get the point of an APU. It's not simply 'best bang for your budget gaming setup'. It's a strong cpu in a small box that can do some gaming. Still, the 8700g is a tough sell at $330. I'm betting the 5700x3d could perform at a similar CPU level at $240 leaving $90 for...

    GeForce RTX 4070Ti Super Reviews

Dying light 2 seems to be one of the most bandwidth heavy games while being able to leverage L2 cache of the AMD and RTX 40 Series. Green being better than average bandwidth or cache for that price with orange being lower. A 3060 8GB basically becomes a 3050 and the 2060 matches a 3060...
