Yeah, but actually no.
I know VERY wealthy people that aren’t that bright, but had other advantages; I know very modest wealth people that are brilliant.
One can be, but is (significantly) not always related to the other.
Depends on who you’re dealing with for employees. Some will just walk out of the door. Other have the time, interest, and money to make things quite miserable for you.
The position of the worker is declining rapidly as the economy - and hiring - has receded. I am highly confident that big tech - or however you call it in that industry - as zero difficulty replacing personnel.
Is there a cost? Oh yeah. Definitely. Real difficulty? Nah.
As a manger of people, my first-hand experience is that some people were markedly LESS productive at home, while others were just fine. This fiction that people are WAY productive remotely…I simply cannot believe it is accurate overall.
Ultimately, I brought everyone back in.
Yes and no.
As an employer, you CANNOT let the staff yank you around.
I don’t know if Amazon pays particularly well, but for every one that is willing to leave their employment over going into the office, there are three that will take the job and comply. Who’s to say if one is better or...
Well. I think there's a lot more that goes into pricing than is controlled by changes in demand. I'm absolutely sure there are actuaries that do this for production process planning.
I was typing up a treatise on the various ways demand (and related) factors can change pricing, but I sliced my...
In fairness, I think the argument is a bit more nuanced than that. It is indisputable that there's an effect on demand from mining. The argument is more over the relative price impact.
There are no less than 10 people on this forum, and more in the local area, that are using cards from me, used for this purpose - with full and complete disclosure.
If you know and trust the supplier, there is no reason not to use the cards at a favorable price.
I have thought about it, considerably. I think there is a significant (to me) difference between an authenticated or licensed print of an existing and published work, or the rights to the same, than a newly fabricated imagine that has ZERO associated value, other than the hustle for the rights...
What is gamepass ultimate?
I'm considering this bundle - but really all I want is the Xbox and a controller. I've been playing fortnite with my kid and split screen sucks. I don't play anything else.
In fact, even as I type that I can see I'm better off just finding a local pick up used...
I'd go with that as a likely point. Then again, given the MASSIVE secondary market for GPU's right now, I'd consider coming in extremely strong - maybe ridiculously so.
Not bad. I run through them pretty quickly and lose the hell out of the bits. For me, better to buy packs of 25 or 50 in each size and use them as consumables. Which...they are.
...someone please buy this to remove the temptation. I'm committed to the X1 Carbon line, and if I spend all my lunch money on this, then I cannot justify that too. And well, I really want the new X1 so...SOMEONE JUMP ON THIS FANTASTIC MACHINE!
There's only one person here that had one or two, that I'm aware of. I forgot his name, but I recall he put them in a box to do modeling or imaging - something like that.
I remember Kyle doing a video where he very clearly disclaims, "we aren't saying you should do it this way, or that it's the best way - but it's how we're going to do it." It was probably application of thermal paste or something.
