Purchased a Quest 3 on launch day. This is my fifth headset. Primarily PCVR, but I do a lot of standalone for convenience. I was kind of let down that almost none of the standalone Quest 2 titles I have were updated for the Quest 3's much faster GPU and better resolution. Sure, the lenses make...
I would love to see a VR performance review with the 4000 series vs the 7000 series with the latest drivers. XTX's are getting close to half the price of the 4090, and if the VR performance is now only 10-15% slower and the games more stable, then it would be hard to justify all that extra money...
It depends on your resolution and target framerate. I game at 4k60 on my TV, and also VR 90hz with my Reverb G2. I went with a 12700K a few months ago (cheap at Micro Center) and it doesn't even break a sweat in my situation with my 4090. What's your resolution and refresh rate?
Anyone want to try that promo code again from Best Buy? The 4090 I want is finally in stock there but I'm not going to pull the trigger unless I can get the 10% off, and if it's not working I'm not going to apply for the credit card.
I changed the JAN24EMOB1 to FEB24EMOB1 and it seems to be a...
Can anyone confirm the 10% off BB codes are working? From a few weeks ago, lots of posts on Reddit etc. were saying the Q4FY23SAVE10 stopped working, but with the new code that GoodBoy posted (JAN24EMOB1) it looks like they made a new one. I'm very close to pulling the trigger, and the 10% off...
I ran a 3090 EVGA XC3 on an EVGA 650 G+ for over a year. I had it as a spare, and threw it in the system to do testing and never took it out. Under gaming load, according to my UPS, I never saw total system draw, from the wall, exceed 450w, so I figured I was ok.
Is there a trick to getting the 4090 FE in your cart at BB? I've been trying off and on for 2 days, and multiple times while F5ing it will show a yellow Add To Cart. I click the button, and a window pops up that says it's sold out. Then, immediately after I F5, it shows a yellow Add To Cart, and...
Dang, even better! Had I waited, I probably would have jumped on that 12600K deal instead for about $100 less. This is even a tempting combo to upgrade my Plex server. Hmmm....
I placed my order on November 5th with a delivery date of around November 10th, if I remember correctly. They then changed my delivery date to 11/15. Then, they changed it to 11/18. Now, it's showing Nov 23-27th. If you click on the link, the 120 SE version (this one) isn't listed any more. I'm...
I snagged two of the Micro Center 12700K combos for builds for friends. Do you think this would do a good job? One will be in a full-sized Torrent, the other the Torrent compact. Both friends do not want AIO's, as I don't blame them with the Torrents. Also, these will be gaming-only PC's, so I...
I just picked up the $350 12700K combo with Z690 ASUS TUF motherboard and 32GB DDR4 ($100) for a total of $450 that MC ran yesterday that sold out quickly. Today MC upped their combo discount on the 7000 series to $50, and are still offering the free 32GB DDR5 kit. So, I could get a 7700X + B650...
Ripped from Slickdeals. These are selling out fast. I was thinking of getting a 13600K soon but this is mighty tempting:

I have an EVGA 1000 G6 (Seasonic) I purchased about a year ago for my 3090 build. I'm in the process of piecing together a new build for a 4090 (waiting to see 13th gen Intel; i7 max) and I picked up an EVGA 1600 P+ about 2 months ago in anticipation of these 4090 monsters needing huge power...
There's now the Uncharted game bundle included with almost all 5000 series AMD CPU's, which makes this deal smoking hot. However, it's a bit confusing. If you go to AMD's site for this promo, it does not list Newegg for the promotion. However, on the Newegg 5700x page it lists it. The reason I...
If you're a fan of Skyrim, then playing it in VR is absolutely amazing. Download Wabbajack and you can choose from a few different mod packs on there. I'm currently playing with FUS and it's great.
Now, I'm second guessing the 1600 P+. For some reason I thought the OEM was Super Flower for it. It even has that "rough" look of the G2, P2 and T2 variants. For $30 more, I can get the P2 and send back the P+ that already shipped for about $20 in postage. Is it worth the $50 swap? The plan is...
Running my 3090 on a 1000 G6. I'll probably be going 4090, and really hope my power supply will suffice. I'm very tempted to grab this, and sell my current one and only be out $100-$120 for the upgrade.
My friend is thinking of picking this combo up today to put in a 3U rack case for a multi-purpose server. It will run a few things in his house and he would also like to run some VM's off it etc. I don't see him pushing it very hard. With that being said, do you think this cooler would suffice...
Definitely pick up Golf+. I play that game more than any other. Plus, it's cross-play, so if you purchase it on the Quest you can also play it on the PC, if you'd like. I do that with Air Link and it looks much better.
Not when you're gaming in VR. You need a lot of headroom so you don't get slowdowns, which can mess with you and cause motion sickness. I usually target 60-70% utilization, on average, to ensure I have a smooth VR gaming experience.
I sold my G2 after getting a Quest 2 and using it wirelessly. After playing without a wire, I just couldn't go back. Yes, the G2 has a better screen but it's not that much better, in my opinion. Maybe if the G2 is a 10, the Quest 2 is an 8, which is fine. I've owned a CV1 Rift, Rift S, then the...
I recently landed a new job that is going to take up ~60 hours/week of my time for the next 4-6 months, until things settle down. I have a 10850K with a 3090 that I use 90% for VR gaming (Quest 2) and sometimes a AAA game like God of War or RDR2. I'm going to have almost zero time to game until...
