There is the 14.5L Mesh-Licious chassis, supposed to be on Newegg Jan / Feb 2021...
I will be moving my loaded C8I mobo ( 3900X CPU / 32GB 3600/16 RAM / two 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen4 SSDs ) & SF750 PSU over to one; adding in a Sapphire Nitro+ 6800 XT SE GPU & a 280 EK-AIO...!
EDIT TO ADD:
Well...
I want a 6800 XT with 72CU (36WGP) & 16GB GDDR6 @ 16Gbps, and I want it for US$549.00; oh, and some rock solid Linux drivers would be great, thanks...! ;^p
AMD is not using the term "Big Navi" as a name for the forthcoming RDNA2-based GPUs. It is a term that the internet is using to talk about the largest die size for RDNA2 GPUs, hence "Big" Navi...
Looking at more modern mobos & chipsets (from an AMD perspective), Newegg has a total of 43 mobos (I did not bother to look for dups, but I feel there are one or two). By modern I mean AM4 & sTR4 sockets. And speaking of sTR4, it was only for the first two gens of Threadripper, so no 3rd gen or...
I want more on the second half of that statement, about AMD not matching the top tier card from Nvidia...
Which top tier card...?
3080 Ti...?
Titan RTX II...?
Quadro RTX 9001...?!?
Full die GA100 datacenter card...?
I am also waiting for Big Navi, and am looking to get a used Vega 56 to tide me over (current GPU is a MSI GTX 1070 Sea Hawk X, but I want to build a Ryzentosh).
Top left is accurate for the few examples shown, but there are many Silicon Graphics & SGI boxes out there with badge placement that is not top left...
I have decided on lower left, with the Cube aligned below the front I/O...
So I currently have my Fractal Era ITX chassis built up:
ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Impact X570 mDTX mobo
AMD Ryzen R9 3900X CPU
Corsair H60 120mm AIO CPU cooler (with Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM fan)
32GB G.Skill Trident Z Neo RAM (2@16GB DDR4 DIMMs / 3600 MT/s / 16.16.16.36 / Samsung b-die)
Two 1TB...
From the Twitter teaser, it looks like the colors will be White, grey, Blue, & Gold...
I want to get that Blue & slap an old Silicon Graphics logo / text on it...!
I have seen a reference to a price of 160 Euros, so about US$180; if true, I hope those panels are aluminum...!
Wild, the mystery Fractal chassis has not even been announced yet, we know nothing beyond a teaser clip of the corner of something, but you already have the price set at $270 ($450 minus a $180 PSU)...?!?
Regarding my choice of PSU, I wanted 750W of power, so the Corsair SF750 was the only...
Wow, you must be living in the past, or have just been exposed to cheap SFX PSUs, because my Corsair SF750 Platinum SFX PSU hardly ever spins up the fan, and when it does it is whisper quiet...
Regarding sandwich-style chassis & mDTX mobos, virtually all of the sandwich chassis are ITX, and do...
I just hope it will fit a mDTX motherboard, and does not come with a bundled PSU, as my Corsair SF750 Platinum SFX PSU is still running like a champ...
And if it is some sort of a sandwich design, I hope they include a Gen 4 compatible PCIe riser cable...!
Fractal Design has a teaser running over on Twitter...
Their answer to the NZXT H1, I would assume...
But I can hope for a 20L or less Meshify Nano, yeah...?
Some of us want more from our GPUs than just gaming; I run Cinema 4D, Substance, & Resolve; all can benefit from the added bandwidth HBM2e would provide...?
Seems like the whole 5900 XT / 5950 XT thing has dropped to the wayside, we are now waiting on the 6000-series cards for RDNA2 goodness...?
Come on Liquid-Cooled 6950 XT...! ;^p
You have three choices for an AM4 ITX mobo; Asus, ASRock, & Gigabyte. None of those have an internal USB Type-C header. I am personally hoping that we will get B550 ITX mobos sometime soon, I would think manufacturers would be including USB Type-C internal headers as standard at this point?
It could, if you find a way to keep the side panel off the desk (for airflow), both sides are intake, the rear is exhaust; I guess you could just lay it on the TG front panel...?
But seeing as the whole idea of a tower chassis is to reduce desktop footprint...
The Seasonic Focus SFG SFX-L 650W Gold PSU (which is the PSU included, just re-labeled for NZXT) runs about 120 bucks, add a 10 buck surcharge for the custom-length pre-routed cables? A comparable 140mm AIO runs about 80 bucks. There is also the specific length, pre-formed PCIe riser cable, that...
There is zero exhaust, all units (CPU, GPU, & PSU) are on intake, this is a pure positive pressure chassis...
Which might also be part of the decision to go with the tempered glass; only one way for the air to exhaust, out the back...?
