There's nothing to forget because that isn't true at all. It's very misleading to call slight brightness dimming "flicker". LCD backlight PWM flicker is completely different. Slight brightness dimming with refresh rate is also common to all types of OLED and nobody is complaining about LG OLEDs...

Commercial LCDs are designed to optimize brightness and lifespan, and that's literally it. Their image quality is garbage compared to any of the higher end consumer displays. There's really no point to even looking at them.

The pixel refresh logic seems a bit broken if you're still getting the window where it asks you. It liked to ask me to do a pixel refresh on power-on as well. Since I told it to never ask again, it's not been an issue. There is no benefit to having it ask you as far as I can tell.

Has anyone found a way to fix the Samsung QD-OLED TVs? My understanding from Vincent's last video is that he couldn't find any way to fix the EOTF curve in any mode so the TVs cannot be made accurate.
