GHOST S1 - When both size & performance matters

Any comment about SFX vs SFX-L PSUs? With the new elevated position of the PSU mount will there be room for a full 25mm fan under an SFX-L PSU? How's the overall fit with an SFX-L? Also, what does the community consider to be the quietest SFF PSU? I currently have a Silverstone SFX-L 500 v1.0...

GHOST S1 - When both size & performance matters

I sure hope so! I was backer #1 and was super excited when I got the Kickstarter email! I believe they had said previously that backer number would be tied to serial/production number but I haven’t heard anything about it recently.

GHOST S1 - When both size & performance matters

I'm wondering this myself. I know that you guys used the H100v2 during those initial tests, but Jayz2cents mentioned the Fractal Celcius S24 as being a better option because of the flexibility of the tubing. I already bought an H100v2 for this case during black Friday sales, wondering now if I...

GHOST S1 - When both size & performance matters

It may be too late to make these changes, but if you could really fit a 280mm rad with just a 4mm increase in width then that seems like it would be worth it. Would that actually be possible? I feel like they'd have to extend it to about 6-8 mm. Honestly, the appeal of this case to me over the...

DAN C4-SFX: The smallest water cooling case in the world

Yeah, these are the fans I'm referring to. Maybe the 15mm A series fans also use the liquid crystal polymer, I'm not sure. But the fans that were shown at Computed were touted as better than both static pressure and airflow fans in real-world scenarios. If anybody else were making such claims I...

I had previously heard that those fans were launching in October but I haven't heard anything since. Does anybody know?

GHOST S1 - When both size & performance matters

Flat pack is an excellent idea for saving some money on shipping. I say go for it, especially considering how turned off people were by the shipping costs during your last Kickstarter. Anything you can do to bring the cost down is appreciated.

DAN C4-SFX: The smallest water cooling case in the world

Ah ok, I understand now. I had thought you meant push/pull fans. I still feel like at least 55mm if clearance would be a good idea so you could support 30mm radiators + 25mm fans. Many good suggestions on here imo. Thanks for your willingness to take feedback! I know it took a lot of work for...

DAN C4-SFX: The smallest water cooling case in the world

Has it been shown somewhere that using 4 thin fans as opposed to 2 thicker fans is better? Your request of 30mm radiator + 30mm of fans (2x15mm) adds 6 mm to the case height. Why not add 1 mm and then you can have a 30mm + 25mm setup? Really interested to hear how a 2x12mm setup or 2x15mm setup...

DAN C4-SFX: The smallest water cooling case in the world

So you state that radiators of 30mm + 2x12mm fans fan fit. Why not extend by 1 mm and then you can support a 30mm radiatory + 1x25 mm fan? Seems like a small change for the added convenience of buying 2 fans instead of 4 skinny ones. Or even better, extend 2 mm so you can support what is...

DAN C4-SFX: The smallest water cooling case in the world

The H100i V2 has a radiator that's 30mm thick. 30mm radiator + 25mm = 55mm. The current space you seem to be indicating is 28+27= 55. Would you consider 56+? Maybe 58 even? I don't think the Fractal Design Celsius S24 would fit. It has a radiator thickness of 31mm, so it'd be 56mm total with...

GHOST S1 - When both size & performance matters

Thanks for the reply. Makes sense why you're waiting to update til things are finalized. Another quick question. The H100i V2 has a radiator that's 30mm thick. 30mm radiator + 25mm = 55mm, just under the 56mm of clearance in the L Top Hat. Would a cooler like Fractal Design’s Celsius S24 fit? It...

GHOST S1 - When both size & performance matters

While it's interesting to hear about cooling options that fit without the use of a top hat, I really want to just see a 2x120mm CLC in this thing with the tall top hat! That was honestly the main draw of this case for me. I want to have an mITX case where I don't have to worry about thermal...

    Corsair SF600 600w SFX Powersupply

My bad. Didn't see it anywhere in the articles I scoured. Hopefully it's the start of Q4! :) I just want a quiet SFX PSU. It's too bad the fan in the Silverstone SFX makes that annoying noise.

    Corsair SF600 600w SFX Powersupply

Just sent a message to Corsair's Facebook and found out it's scheduled for a Q4 release. Guess we'll be waiting on those reviews. Hopefully it'll be ready by the time the A4 ships. Screenshot: http://1drv.ms/1MQaJEm

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

I just got my EVGA 970 SC (reference style w/ blower). The noise is awful. Horrible. My old 770 SC was so nice compared to this groaning card. I think I'm going to have to return it despite having claimed the game codes since they came before the card. Anyone know of any good reference 970s? I'm...

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

Mine has that annoying fan noise. That combined with the fact that you'll only be able to fit one drive in the A4 with the SFX-L model has me considering going for the 450W SFX PSU. I really didn't think mine was that bad back when I had it, and that was the bronze one. I don't know though, so...

    SFX-L PSU compilation

Where did you find it? Is it available in the US? Is there no clicking noise like the type that plagues the Silverstone model?

    Silverstone SX500-LG 500W Gold SFX-L

Wait, so it's possibly the same just with a different fan profile? I really want to return my Silverstone unit. That clicking is so annoying. I definitely wouldn't mind if the fan just stayed on at a higher RPM... Has anyone done any testing under load with different fans? Is it a viable (though...

    Silverstone SX500-LG 500W Gold SFX-L

I just got an email from Silverstone about the noise issue and the changes made in V1.1: I really don't want to void my warranty on mine (a V1.0), but...I hate this noise. Very frustrating. I am considering the 450 or 600 now. I didn't pay ~$100 for this annoying sound. :/

    Silverstone Sugo SG13 Mini-ITX

Did anyone else notice the price jumping up at Amazon on these? They're now more than $20 above the original retail price, and these aren't the marketplace prices but the ones from Amazon directly. Anyway, how does this case do with a non-reference, non-blower card? It seems to fair pretty well...

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

I've been watching this thread for a long time but decided to finally post on the screws/push-pins debate. Have any of you used a Lian Li case with screws before? Screwing on the panels will almost definitely result in some warping and it's likely to also leave an unsightly mark as well. The M1...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Thanks for the info! Also thanks to Screes for that post with the screenshots. I'm still debating between doing something like this with my SG08, or getting the NCASE M1. The thermal performance with the H220 CPU+GPU loop was fairly disappointing. :/ I'd be using a universal waterblock on my...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

This thermal test? I don't seem to see the picture you're talking about... I want to know if you could mount something like an H60 below the GPU, in the bottom of the case, towards the front.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Do you think it'd be possible to fit a 120mm rad and 120mm fan on the bottom of the case if you went with a waterblock on the GPU?
