Isnt that a different socket though than the 920? 1366 vs 2011, nothing i've read says they are backwards compatible? Also its sold out.
Omenemo, I will have to read through that post. Most day to day tasks are fine but I also want something a lot smaller and takes up a lot less space.
Part of it has a lot to do with the size of this case. They don't make ITX 1366. I can go mATX though I guess and just get new ram but this system is pushing 8 years and figure an upgrade in all new hardware wouldn't hurt. I can get 24gb ddr3 triple channel kit but they are expensive. Everything...
So long story short I have been out of the game for awhile. I don't know whats fastest or best. I do know that my current rig is not doing so hot at the moment.
I have a i7 920, 18gb of DDR3 and a GTX680. All crammed on an EVGA E767.
It does all right, don't get me wrong. I don't game a...
Has anyone had any issues with the Dv6? I have read decent things but have had a friend have a bad experience with the last gen. I just want to keep weight under or around 5lbs if possible, I have a desktop for when I am home but need something that can handle it on the road.
Okay, I am traveling a lot more and gaming a lot less and doing a lot more video and photo work. My current desktop is i7 920, 12gb of ram and a Gtx680. I run Photoshop, Lightroom, After Effects and Premiere no problem.
I don't know how well these programs run or render with integrated...
there is 12gb in adobe media cache.. but most seem to be in user and windows folder.
EDIT:
Got some space back by moving and cleaning the media cache folder.
Not an SSD. windows restore is enables on C: and I don't know page file location. But it just recently started doing this, and its even taken up .02gb more since I posted..
Okay, my C: drive is randomly filling up and very fast too. At first I thought it was Lightroom (still may be) but about 3 weeks ago I had 18gb left on the drive as I only use it for the OS. Yesterday I had 1.75gb free and today only 1gb. I have ran a complete defrag and CCleaner but with not...
I have a question I haven't really been able to find an answer for. I have a server that I use for Minecraft and Teamspeak. I added space and would like to be able to store files on it as well to save room on my Harddrive, but want the simplicity of dragging and dropping the files to and from...
Thanks for that Tsumi. Exactly what I was looking for. It will now depend on how much money is in the bank when I buy here in the next few weeks. But it sounds like I can't go wrong with either as an upgrade to my 920.
I may just have to up the price and go all in. I was just looking for some cpu's to look at and research as I couldn't really find anything directly comparing to the 920. (Most stuff I did find say keep the 920) but since I want an ITX system I can't do that.
I have a lot to think about and...
Here is what I have picked (trying to keep price below $700).
BitFenix Prodigy
Corsair HX650
G.Skill 16gb (2x8gb)
ASRock Z77E-ITX
Intel Core i5-3570K
Already have HDD's and GTX 680.
I obviously don't want to spend more money (I don't think I will get much more then a few hundred for my...
I am getting ready to sell my full tower system and build an ITX system as I don't overclock anymore and want something smaller. I am gaming at 1920x1080, doing a lot of Premiere, Photoshop and After Effects work as well as some other hardware intensive stuff. I currently have a i7 920 at stock...
Using Heaven benchmark I got my core clock up +65 with the Mem clock at +225 stable.
That is giving me a total of 1254 on the GPU and 3330 on the Mem. I didn't push the memory anymore past +225 yet so I will work on it a bit. I just wanna play BF3 now :P.
ZOOOMG I CAN GET 200+ FPS IN FAR CRY 2 WITH THIS CARD!!!
Anyways,
When are these cards supposed to release? I bought a 680 but I am definitley interested in when the other reviews will come out because TT doesn't seem like a reliable source of a review just judging by the games they used to...
Running a single card setup, what is the highest clocks you can jump to right out of the gate? I don't have much experience with overclocking GPU's.
Specs: EVGA GTX 680 SC+, i7 920 @4ghz, 6gb OCZ 1600 DDR3, 750TX Corsair PSU
wouldn't it be nice to see the clock speeds of the card they are reviewing?
EDIT:
Im dumb, just read the intro seeing the clocks. :P
also, why is Far Cry 2 used in this review when BF3 isn't?
I am on comcast as well and I lose it at least once a month... Its horrific! But no its my router that causes the problems even if I still can't connect plugging it into the modem!
Anyway, I had to give my feedback. I have to restart origin about once an hour just so my friends list will...
