On another note, on the iGPU Win 11 recognizes the monitor can do HDR. It doesnt on the 7900xtx -- perhaps because the other two monitors have 'real' HDR and this one fakes it with dithering?

Moved the 3d monitor to the iGPU and tried again after setting it to 1920*1080, still crashed the driver. I suppose I could disable pcie gpu in bios and try again.

I use copilot. It has been very helpful for generating images I use for D&D and for Work Projects. It also has the ability to look things up and find relevant information that I find useful.

That is, for sure, a big issue. The one I have run into the most is Windows uninstalling a driver right after I installed it because it things the generic gpu driver is better then AMD's.

Its a starting point. CPU/GPU tech is very iterative and generational. I see the question as less where they are now but more how "Moore's Law" they are going to be. With exponential growth they only need to be slightly more efficient with generational upgrades to get a superior curve...

I have a Sapphire 7900xtx I am happy with. Could have a little more bling, but I wasn't willing to pay extra. I would pick Sapphire again, that said my XFX rx6900xt black was also very nice, just not as fast.
