I wonder how much of a leap in graphics/physics we will see. Will this next game target the next gen consoles? 🤔
Do we know what engine they are using?
It looks like Battlefield 2042 is wrapping up with this last Season 7. Therefore, I am opening a new thread dedicated to the next gen Battlefield that has been acknowledged by EA.
Hopefully more to come.
Totally worth the extra spend, but only if you will keep the display for a decade, which is what I tend to do. Motion handling is as close to plasma that I’ve seen. HDR Brightness and upscaling performance of lower res content is almost beyond belief. I’m guessing the Samsung is 85% there, maybe...
The funny thing is, I remember buying the first graphics card branded by NVIDIA as having a GPU. GeForce 256 in 1999. I noticed the term GPU on the back and dismissed it as utter marketing nonsense. I just wanted more frames in Half-Life. Man if only I had a Delorean…
Portal mode can be surprisingly entertaining.
There is a server called Afghan War Sim that serves up modern combat on the El Alamein map.
Then you can ocassionally find 1942 servers, which are great fun.
In air supremacy, you can instantly respawn in any air vehicle and the map is air...
There is something flaky about the graphics in all of his games. Everything looks like a veneer or something. The lighting and effects look like something from 2009. This looks like Bioshock in all the wrong ways.
I was just looking over the release schedule for 2024. Looks like a good year for hitting the back catalog. Not much on the immediate horizon in terms of AAA releases in 2024.
Not surprising considering how awesome 2023 was.
Thoughts?
I may do another build for my office upstairs. I was thinking maybe Fractal because this case doesn’t like 4090 (or 5090?) founders editions with the inverted board.
What else should I consider?
I disagree. He is posting in the right place. It only takes one person with the same case and PSU to comfirm. The tone of your reply is not appreciated.
I made it to the island at the end. Incredible remake! Here is a game that has held up well over time.
It is incredibly linear, but that is part of the appeal to me. I don’t always want to be navigating. Sometimes I just want to keep progressing to the next great set piece.
Leon is a great...
I never had another OCP trip in two and a half years after I RMA’d my Seasonic Prime 850. It was a defective unit. If unit is just clicking off randomly, RMA.
I just jumped today from Plasma to QD-OLED Plasma had its charms to be sure but there is no going back once you experience HDR, VRR, 4K 120 Hz! Just wow!
If you get to a point where you think it is hardware, swap in some new ram sticks, maybe even faster ram. The price is pretty nominal unless you need DDR5 and in my experience ram does go bad over time. Stick to two slots—keep it simple.
I dunno man, I don’t really identify demographically with Trevor or Franklin but had a lot of fun stepping into their shoes. Sometimes having an open mind pays off.
I liked that GTA put you into the shoes of characters from three very different walks of life, and then brought them together...
I actually played the “Uplink” demo first, and then got the full game. I think Uplink was released before the full game. I had certainly never experienced anything like it. I had a Voodoo II card already in for Dark Forces II.
It was a remarkably unique and quirky game. I think more than...
