I sent in an RMA request with pictures and I just got an email requesting more pictures. First they say I didn't send them a picture. Then they say the picture of the CPU needs to be of the CPU mounted on the motherboard, which it was, and all the lettering needs to be clear, which it was. Then...
I upgraded to a new AM5 CPU and motherboard. Now, after the monitors wake, everything will pause (mouse and even video playing) for about a second, every 5 seconds or so.
When I look at task manager, the CPU usage is very low.
I've not seen it stop on it's own once it starts. A reboot fixes it...
In my case the power supply is next to the two CPU sockets and the main 24-Pin motherboard socket. I'd love to put a few 6" cables in there.
I've seen a few custom sleeved cables but nothing like a sort cable kit like Silverstone had.
I've only used the Power controlled 3 wire fans before but the aquaero 6 powers the first two channels off if the fans are run at full power.
I got three of the Splitty9 Actives to replace the old Splitty9s in the hopes of getting around the issue.
I've just rebuilt the PC with new 4 wire PWM...
I've got a new build with new Win11 install. I work with VMs a lot and that is normally where you get to see the SSD performance.
I know if I'm coping a large file on the same SSD it will not be as fast but something is up with the 990 Pro. It goes right to 400MBs or so and stays there. Like...
For the first time I'm trying to test the components before mounting. At first I though the Dr. Drop was defective as everything leaked air. Some as I was pumping and others after 5-10 minutes.
I've seen many say to only hand tighten the fittings but I'm using barbed fittings and I've always...
I had a hard time finding an X670E board with all the 5.1/7.1 Ports.
I just got the MEG X670E ACE motherboard as it was the only one I found with 10GB Ethernet and all the PC audio ports.
-It makes 6 thumping like pops each time I boot up but I guess I can live with that. It's just a $600 board...
Performance wise I think they're close enough.
I'm not happy with Intel and their P and E cores. I've already had issues with my company laptop and VMware consistently grabbing all the E cores. Then with the AMD I wanted to go with the X3D but after looking at some more reviews it seems you're...
I've always used Tygon E3603 but it's hard to find ten years latter.
I ordered some from performance-pcs but they sent me 12' (At $6.95 a foot) 1/2"OD. Paid for fast shipping and it was the only item I needed that did not show up for the weekend build.
"ONLINE SUPPORT 24/7" - Sent an email with...
This is the closest I could find but I'd rather have 2 USBC ports. Seen it listed under a few different names.
The new motherboard has 2 of each of the three header types, USBC, USB3 and USB2.
EN-Labs 5.25" Optical Drive USB Type C (10Gbps) Front Panel
It's interesting the manual says the...
Many years ago I had a motherboard that did something like this. The onboard sound ended up completely failing.
It even makes a popping or thumping sound as it gets into Windows. After that it’s all good. Just wondering if it’s all MSI Meg X760E Ace boards or just mine.
I'm currently testing...
I have been using it about a week and it was fine until I moved the middle fan to the outside as it was blocking the PCIe ejection lever.
If I unplug the fan the sound goes away. At low speed it's fine. It seems to change when I move the fan but is still there and louder when fan is fully...
I have always used distilled water and copper blocks with PT Nuke and a Silver Kill Coil Strip.
I could not get a plane copper block for the RTX4090. What is the best additive for a distilled water, copper CPU and RADs with a Chrome-plated copper?
I assume the RADs are copper as one has a...
Just wondering if drivers and such play nice. I'm testing and setting up a new 7950X3D setup with the iGPU before pulling the old 5950x board and putting into the existing case
Was wondering if the AMD drivers would cause an issue with the RTX4090 when I put it all togeather?
On this new system last night I installed the first Personal drive. Got everything set up and just for the heck of it, I tried installing Windows on the second drive with the first one still on the motherboard. Unlike the previous system, it went ahead and did it but it set up the windows boot...
Trying to setup a new build and every time I boot to try something I have to wait about a minute to boot the PC.
It looks like a known issue about training the RAM?
Is the BIOS setup on this board slow for everyone? It seems to work but navigating the menus is sluggish, even after installing the newest version, F37a. It's hard to remember but I want to say this happened after one of the first BIOS updates.
I need to RMA an WD SN850 and SN850X SSD. I want to try and erase everything as best I can before sending them off. In the WD Dashboard software there is a secure erase option but it says that the driver will not allow it and you need to make a USB boot drive with their utility.
After booting...
Intermittent System Stutter Experienced with fTPM Enabled on Windows® 10 and 11
I have an AMD setup that had been fine for the last 2 years or so but a few months back I upgraded to Win11 on a work boot drive and a boot drive for gaming. Both are NVMe SSDs.
About a month ago I had a few large...
I just reinstalled Windows 11 now I can't get the Gigabyte Control Center to show the GPU. I've installed it's updates and most of the modules. Just leaving out the ones that I don't think I need.
I got the GIGABYTE RTX 4090 GAMING OC 24G back in November.
Everything seems ok but when I was playing Death Stranding a lot I'd randomly get back screens but only while in the menu.
Now I'm seeing the same randomly in Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered. Again it's almost always when on the menu...
I've really liked the monitor but this week it started to go to a black screen randomly and and back. Most always just for a second but some times for longer and once it got stuck and I had to power it off. I thought it was just the game at the time I had just started Death Stranding. It was...

I just happened to check the site but I had selected to be notified but I never was...
I've not been able to use it much but did yesterday and GPU-Z was showing 2735MHz. I guess that is normal? But why do they only advertise 2535 MHz? Seems to go against the tech industry norm of listing the highest number you can. Like 1TB drives that are not 1TB and so on.
Fans are louder than...
I've just updated the MB BIOS, Nvidia drivers, AMD chipset drivers and the Ryzen Master software. When I run the Auto OC is slowly increases the core clocks but after its done, it sets them all to 3400.
I have a NVMe to PCI-E adapter that I'd like to keep using but the PCI-E slot is covered by part of the GPU cooler.
I'm ok with it being in there and not mounted. Not seeing any but just a thought. Small use case I know but it would be nice to keep using the slot.
Using a CMD with powercfg -lastwake shows nothing did it.
Windows Event Viewer has no Power-Troubleshooter event. There is a 6005 event that shows it came on at 12:17am.
Disabled wake on lan.
If it was the mouse or keyboard wouldn't the powercfg -lastwake command show this?
Wow, did not think there was anything in Windows 11 for me. Been wanting this for a long time.
Not see it work yet but I just installed Windows 11 to try out the HDR auto setting and saw this. Now if they would just disable display detection.
I'm mounting my display and the power supplies cord is not long enough.
Not sure what type of DC barrel plug is used. The calipers say it's 7.43mm outside and 5.2mm inside with no middle pin.
With the big heat syncs is the air coming out the card any hotter than older cards? I see no difference but others are saying it is bad enough to damage cables.
I had two and a few years ago one would no longer turn on and I cracked the screen getting the bezel off. I sold that one for parts but maybe I should have kept it. Now the second one still runs mostly fine but a few times now it's image is corrupted and I have to turn it off or wait for a few...
I got hooked on the 16:10 long ago for work and I love it, the 2560x1600 res is a good balance between tiny icons and an overheated video card.
I have two Dell 30" 16:10 displays but I play games too for #$%! sake.
If you work and play games and want a flat screen, VRR, HDR and a 16:10 screen...

I did find one for IP cameras but it's only 100 based and I'd like to find something that is 1G.
I have two of the MikroTik CRS305 switches that can be powered with a POE connection and do you POE with them and they work well but they are for my 10G network and a bit overkill for this instance.
I got a new SanDisk 2TB Extreme Portable SSD and it seems to be getting half the USB 3 speed.
On a Gen 1 port I get 300MB/s but I thought I should be getting around 600MB/s. On the Gen 2 port I do get 600MB/s but shouldn't it be over 1GB/s?

Many years ago now I had the first Asus x79 deluxe that went bad and then their next version that was also called the deluxe was swapped out for the one I have now and it lasted many years but in December I got a brand new setup and this was to be an extra gaming computer for my friend to use...
I was having sound and USB issues on mu old system.
I took a look a the Windows 10 optional updates. I know they are not always good suggestions but there are about 50 and many look like the same and they all say something about "Processor E5 Product Family" DDRIO, DMI2, QPI Link Reut 1 and so...
The new Synology HAT5300-12T drives have a really loud head seek and spin hum.
I'm guessing the only fix is to get quiet drives and if so are there ones that for sure would be?
I've just started setting up my new DS1821+ with 5 of the Synology HAT5300-12T drives and they seem to be a lot...
Not sure when this happened or why but last week I went to use the calculator and it crashed on launch. I've gone through a few guides and nothing works.
At first the calculator was installed so I tried the built in calculator app reset and all that did was change the window to some default...
