PC Audio Ports Being Phased Out - How to move the HD audio connection to the back?

They're always seems to be some kind of issue where they want you to install the OS from scratch. If you're not getting a new motherboard every two years with little to no performance gain and adding to the e-waste avalanche you may be able to get by without reinstalling your OS. If one specific...

PC Audio Ports Being Phased Out - How to move the HD audio connection to the back?

The system before this was kept like 8 years. It's a waste to buy one every 2 years. Yes, no issues with an MB less than 2 years old MB. It's not just the quality its getting the options you want. You should not need to buy a $600 MB to get a sound or even an post code LED but that is were we...

NVIDIA Graphics Firmware Update Tool for DisplayPort 1.3 and 1.4 - Fix for black screen until OS loads for Pascal, Maxwell and Kepler cards

I do think it's the card but it only happens while gaming a randomly. Always when in the menus so the card is ramping down. It never happens for more than a second. My RTX3080 never did it. I really don't want to mess with an RMA but it's tempting. They seem to know it's an issue or the maximum...

NVIDIA Graphics Firmware Update Tool for DisplayPort 1.3 and 1.4 - Fix for black screen until OS loads for Pascal, Maxwell and Kepler cards

They had a firmware update for the RTX4090 for some kind of black screen on boot and I still get them randomly only while gaming. Setting the Nvidia power management mode to prefer maximum performance seems to have helped but should you need to change a power setting for your $2000 video card to...

PC Audio Ports Being Phased Out - How to move the HD audio connection to the back?

Nothing's perfect, but for the money and the fact that it's been many years where on board PC audio hasn't really changed in any significant ways, I would hope you wouldn't have hum, buzz or pops when using it. My motherboard from 3 years ago didn't do that and the one from 9 years ago didn't do...

AMD RMA - Is someone at AMD running a scam of some kind?

They did send me a new one. It was fast once they agreed to do it. Now I need to sell it, I wonder if it best to open it and test it while I still have a AM4 MB or jest sell it boxed?

PC Audio Ports Being Phased Out - How to move the HD audio connection to the back?

There is always a workaround, but it is not as satisfactory as receiving the product or feature you paid for. It is more convenient to have it built-in without sacrificing a PCI slot, a USB port, or dealing with the hassle of running wires. By now, onboard sound solutions should have been...

PC Audio Ports Being Phased Out - How to move the HD audio connection to the back?

I care about sound quality I can actually hear. Not into $1000 audio cables or DACs and such. If they sound different its mostly from added processing or a tweeked EQ. Like the Logitech setup I have now where the lowest subwoofer volume is still too high. I tried a Sound Blaster X4 and it even...

AMD RMA - Is someone at AMD running a scam of some kind?

I don't think the lemon law comes into play even though they spent 2 months trying to fix things and made it worse. They're always super nice about it and I know I'll get the check eventually, but everyone's so comfortable wasting everybody else's time because they're so disorganized.

AMD RMA - Is someone at AMD running a scam of some kind?

It's always the same kind of nonsense. Want to buy something? There's thousands of operators standing by. Need a couple of minutes of our global gold standard support team? Can you wait on hold for 30 minutes to an hour? Screw that, we're only email support now. We might get back to you in...

AMD RMA - Is someone at AMD running a scam of some kind?

I went ahead and sent another pic but I don't see how asking for the same thing I've already sent is weeding out any scammers. If they get a fake CPU or something else, they can just deny the claim/RMA.

AMD RMA - Is someone at AMD running a scam of some kind?

I sent in an RMA request with pictures and I just got an email requesting more pictures. First they say I didn't send them a picture. Then they say the picture of the CPU needs to be of the CPU mounted on the motherboard, which it was, and all the lettering needs to be clear, which it was. Then...

    ViewSonic XG321UG 32" Issues

I'm not sure yet but my black screen issue seems to have been tied to a corruption issue with the MB or CPU. After getting a new AM5 MB and CPU I've not seen the issue. Again, with the needed bandwidth being the same at all times, I only saw a black screen in games and 99% of the time it was...

Desktop pausing after monitor power save mode, New Win11 build

I switched to balanced when I read you needed that so the 7950X3D would use the correct CPU cores when gaming and park the others.

I have the Chipset Drivers but no the iGPU video drivers installed. I'll try the chipset drivers again.

Desktop pausing after monitor power save mode, New Win11 build

I upgraded to a new AM5 CPU and motherboard. Now, after the monitors wake, everything will pause (mouse and even video playing) for about a second, every 5 seconds or so. When I look at task manager, the CPU usage is very low. I've not seen it stop on it's own once it starts. A reboot fixes it...

Aquaero 6 New PWM fans Set to 2000 RPM

I'm not sure how warm the ambient air temperature in the case is, but it is warm. The RTX 4900 and to a lesser degree the 7950X3D dump a ton of heat. When I game it's like having a heater in the room. More so then in the past with my previous setups. It no longer makes any noise which is great...

Is there a Corsair AX1600i Sort Cable Kit?

In my case the power supply is next to the two CPU sockets and the main 24-Pin motherboard socket. I'd love to put a few 6" cables in there. I've seen a few custom sleeved cables but nothing like a sort cable kit like Silverstone had.

Aquaero 6 New PWM fans Set to 2000 RPM

Not sure I follow, wouldn't the preset controller be fixed? They don't even have an input. The curve controller seems ok. I have 3 360 radiators for a RTX 4090 and a AMD 7950X3D, the fans mostly never run. I manly want them to run as to get the warm air out of the case.

Aquaero 6 New PWM fans Set to 2000 RPM

In the Controllers, I added a Preset value controller and moved all the channels to it. I set it to 10%. I set all three channels to a rage of 10-100%. I then turned the pots until the fans on each Splitty9 Active were off. Now I can run the fans at their lowest speed, seems like 350rpm, with...

Aquaero 6 New PWM fans Set to 2000 RPM

Had a few issues. Not sure why but the calitemp disappeared at some point and triggered an alarm for the first time since setting it up. I thought there was a way to acknowledge the alarms. It was very loud, and it took some time to get it working. In the end I just powered the system off and...

Aquaero 6 New PWM fans Set to 2000 RPM

I've only used the Power controlled 3 wire fans before but the aquaero 6 powers the first two channels off if the fans are run at full power. I got three of the Splitty9 Actives to replace the old Splitty9s in the hopes of getting around the issue. I've just rebuilt the PC with new 4 wire PWM...

Samsung 990 Pro Win11 file copy seems slow

I'm not sure where the cutoff is, but apparently 1.5 terabyte of the 1.8 terabytes available being used is too much and slows the drive to around 400 megabytes a second. So you buy a 2 terabyte drive that's really 1.8 and then if you want full speed you can only use 1.3 or 1.4 maybe before your...

Samsung 990 Pro Win11 file copy seems slow

I just booted to the second 990 Pro used only for personal work. It's much faster and has more free space so it smees the 990 Pro is more susceptible to having low drive space. I'll try and move some files off it and see.

Samsung 990 Pro Win11 file copy seems slow

That is what I would hope to see. The old laptop is faster with older hardware. I know that being full can slow them down but all three drives are close to being full. It seems odd the the Samsung Magician seems to be ok but when I go to copy a file is way too slow.

Samsung 990 Pro Win11 file copy seems slow

I've got a new build with new Win11 install. I work with VMs a lot and that is normally where you get to see the SSD performance. I know if I'm coping a large file on the same SSD it will not be as fast but something is up with the 990 Pro. It goes right to 400MBs or so and stays there. Like...

Best soft 1/2"ID - 3/4"OD Tubing for G1/4 Zoll to ID 13mm fittings

Maybe they change something, I'm not sure but you can see in the pic that it's smaller than the Tygon I also got 10 years ago. When you squish it a little to try to make it round, that just makes it even smaller. The only way to get the calipers in there at half an inch is to squish it oval. I...

    Noctua NH-D15 chromax.Black - Fan Noise

Best soft 1/2"ID - 3/4"OD Tubing for G1/4 Zoll to ID 13mm fittings

Using the microwave and bring water in a cup to a boil then dipping the end of the tube for a few seconds makes it easy to connect a fitting. It's now about as easy as real 1/2" ID tubing but it slows things down a lot and takes more planning as you'll need to heat both ends and get them...

Best soft 1/2"ID - 3/4"OD Tubing for G1/4 Zoll to ID 13mm fittings

The Tygon is softer and that makes it easier to install. But also it's actually 1/2-in inner diameter. The Primochill is not, it's smaller and it's firmer. Actually feel like I'm going to break stuff trying to get the tubing on. It's way harder to install. I found some posts on other sites just...

Best soft 1/2"ID - 3/4"OD Tubing for G1/4 Zoll to ID 13mm fittings

It's a little oval but the calipers wont even fit in the wider squished diameter.

Best soft 1/2"ID - 3/4"OD Tubing for G1/4 Zoll to ID 13mm fittings

The primochill is too small. The Tygon is 1/2" ID but the primochill (on the right in the pic) is smaller. I'm using barbed fittings and out of the case just working on one fitting I can force it on but I'd break something trying to disconnect a mounted fitting.

Dr. Drop Leak Tester Kit - Hmm...

The pump screws on and step 4 is not easy to do without going above 0.5Bar. I guess I need to do the soapy spray bottle test like when they install and new gas stove.
