I have had the XG more than a year and yes, I have to change the response time every time as well, but everything else saves. Interesting that there is a new firmware, I never contacted them about that. My understanding is that since the monitor has a Gsync chip one cannot access the service...
What is your use-case? If you are intending to use the monitor for color-critical work, such as photography and video editing, and want high brightness (VESA HDR 1000 or greater) then the Asus ProArt is probably what you are looking for. They are quite expensive though. PA32UCG/UCR.
The...
At Touch Taiwan, AUO mentions they are slowly transitioning to micro-LED but the tech has not fully matured yet. They expect prices to drop 50% every 2 years once they become commercially available, which is not likely for another 2-4 years. Slowly, these devices will overtake both mini-LED and...
Like others have voiced above, I would argue the advantage of “better contrast” that OLEDs have claim is even a mute point now compared to mini-LED. The black levels of a proper mini-LED is basically pure black. It looks like the screen is off in the areas where it should show pure black. Also...
I don't think OLED televisions will ever approach the brightness levels of mini-LED aside from in a lab, simply because the reality is manufacturers would have to price them so high to warrant them against burn-in within 3 years. It's a different situation than from the AW QD-OLED (and that has...
Regarding high-tier PG32uqx/XG321UG panel I thought these panels were DC dimming. It is mean they are fast frequency PWM? On TFTcentral review of this panel they show it is DC Dimming on voltage graph? I ask because I am recently getting dizziness looking at monitor too closely.
Actually they do...have you seen this website? Kinda cool to see the benefits of mini-LED over OLED...but scroll all the way to the bottom. They have PG32UQX listed there. I think maybe the "adaptive" was included perhaps because the "newer" monitors have an integrated chip as AUO OEM rather...
I had PG32UQX and then XG321UG one right after the other. They are essentially the same, but can confirm there is NO fan noise on the XG at all. Basically zero for all intents and purposes. The PG did have a better UI and gamier design. Both are par excellence monitors for true image quality...
Isn’t this the same issue the Alienware OLED monitor had?

I think less "haloing" is not true. I have BOTH the X27 and currently Xg321UG. I have compared them rigorously side-by-side, elbow-to-elbow as it were..
The X27 does have haloing but it is less noticeable because of its lower peak brightness and larger dimming zones which subsequently hurt its...
Where did you see the such low fullfield brightness numbers for XG321UG?
Tom's Hardware actually measured it highter than PG32UQX and at 1300 nits to boot:

I have had this monitor since 3/2022 and love it. I have had the issue where the monitor will go blank and I had to unplug power source and restart, but this happens very rarely (maybe twice since I bought it - and I use it every day as my main monitor). I cannot recall why it happened.
As far...
I ONLY have a 2080TI, but my GPU is 99-100% utilized now. Similar to what Vega is reporting..not sure if it's due to the new patch. Core-i7 10700k is no longer bottlenecking GPU as when I OC the CPU c/w stock I see no improvement in FPS at all.
You should watch 4K HDR10/Dolby content such as House of Dragon or Rings of Power too, in addition to games. It looks stunning on this display, and really allows you to see the benefits of VESA Display HDR1400 (high color volume and gamut).
Funny how people complain about HDR > 1000nits being so bright it strains their eyes..ever stepped outside for a minute? Or even turned a light bulb on? Seriously lol…
Wonder why studios such as DolbyVision are targeting 4,000-10,000nit mastered HDR media? I guess they’re all idiots. The holy...
Does PG32UQX support HDR10+? I know it supports HDR10 data but was wondering if HDR10+ metadata can be supported either now or if it is feasible as a firmware update. DolbyVision I know is not supported which is a shame but only 3 monitors do. Would that require a hardware change or can support...
I would be interested in this monitor given the benefits of no fan noise and HDMI 2.1. My main concern would be performance w/o the G-sync module, text clarity and general desktop performance, and peak brightness. If it could be had for <$1000 that would be sweet.
XG321UG has additional colorspace over PG32UQX. 50% human eye. 100% sRGB and Adobe. This is consistent with review from Tom's Hardware. Other numbers similar to UQX. I will post screenshot later.
I have both the X27 and XG321ug (same panels as PG27uq and UQX). I have viewed them side by side and I note that while X27 still has beautiful HDR performance, it has less “pop” than the newer XG - it has lower brightness in unhighlighted areas whereas XG has more uniform looking screen. I...
I think he means RDR is not mastered for HDR?
My recommendation: Not a game but try Dune in 4K Dolby Vision/HDR10. I watched on this monitor and it is revelatory. I played it side by side with an OLED and while latter shows just marginally better contrast (hair-splitting) in dark scenes, XG...
I have the XG321UG as well. I am enjoying it a lot. I did have the PG32UQX just prior. I was not able to do a side to side comparison but overall echo what Bigmonitorguy said above. Some points:
(1) XG has a cleaner look to it with that stand as opposed to the PG gamer look. However, PG had the...
Hello new here, but long time lurker.
I have the 32UQX but am interested in exchanging for this new Viewsonic monitor since I’m still in 30-day period. This monitor seems to have some additional ergonomics such as changing to portrait mode as well as a few new features, such as the...
Big warning for co-console gamers on PS5/XSX, from Verge : "Neither console supports 21:9 aspect ratio, just 16:9, so the output resolution of the AW3423DW tops out at 2,560 x 1,440 on the Series X. In other words, you’ll have vertical black bars on the sides of the picture. Another wrinkle with...
