I just grabbed a cheap SFP DAC off of ebay and connected the two .. I think there is some configuring to do in your edgerouter and/or Netgear switch .. but I'm at work right now so can't pull them up to look. That's the nice thing about this old Netgear switch and my edgerouter .. once you get it set up , it just works ... the downside is that I forget what I did, lol.

Ok. Any chance you can find out the part ID of that SFP? Or am I just overly concerned?
I'd love to understand the configuration you did. not in a hurry. I rather get it right from the start.

Btw - work - at this hour? Montana is like at least 7 hours less than Nordic Countries..

I work 3rd shift at a jail as a detention officer .. I can take a peak at my settings and the exact cable when I get home in the morning for yuh

Man - graveyard shift is really not "my cup of tea" .....

Please do that when you have a minute or two to spare. But, make sure you get the needed sleep first. I do not want to ruin your sleep routines - graveyard shift is rouigh enough as it is.

I take my daughter to school as soon as I get home and then "goof around" for a couple hours before I hit the hay generally .. so not a problem ..it'll be a matter of remembrance though,lol.. I have a good memory, it's just awful short.

okidoki. Same as me I guess - with the memory, I mean - good but, short. wife complains about it on occasions..

Appreciate the support effort on your side. Really! interestingly enough, I tried to do the setting in my ER-12P and found that my eth10 and eth11 is not represented the same way as in the ER-X... But, I might as well not make any changes yet - better get the cabling first.
