What are you nerds playing this weekend?

Working through my games to do list. Playing Enderal: Forgotten Stories and really enjoying the story.

It's been fucking awesome so far.

Got the bug to replay the Uncharted (Remastered) Games again. But decided to Platinum them while I'm at it. So I just Platinum'd Uncharted and started on Uncharted 2.

Been playing Fallout 4, my first experience in the fallout universe thoroughly enjoyed it.

I broke down and bought the anniversary edition of Skyrim been using legacy with a heck of a lot of graphic related mods for far too long. Haven't done a full playthrough for about a year and a half now I've been enjoying some nostalgia with it.

Debating on doing a fresh run of cyberpunk 2077 or Arkham Knight. Play the main quest on cyberpunk and part of Arkham Knight on my old laptop kind of want to see how they do on the desktop

Forza Horizons. Having a good time with this one so far. I keep meaning to go back to Deathloop, so I might play a little of that, too.

Hell Let Loose! And probably going to put some time into really learning Tekken 7.

Nice. What character(s) you going with? Tekken has shifted a lot toward recognition of low attacks, so that's one of the first things to work on. Learn the common lows attacks and high/low sequences for as many characters as possible. It's a handful with so many characters. I was borderline tournament-caliber in the Tag days, but it's too much for me, now.

Not sure yet, I was learning Kazuya initially way back but I don't think I have it in me to become truly proficient with him -- I'll probably watch a long character analysis video or something and go from there. Sort of interested in Armor King or Jin. Do you do Tekken 7 at all casually or online?

I dabble a little bit, but haven't touched it in a while. I have some degree of muscle memory with King (mainly), Armor King, and Kazuya though. My issue has never been offense, but more knowing how to block everyone else's huge movelist. Especially newer characters that seem like Dead or Alive clones.

Kazuya isn't as simple as he was back in the really old games, but he's still one of the more approachable characters. He's basically still all about crouch-dash mixups and doing damage off up uppercuts. If you were ever able to do the electric version of his upper, it's still present in 7 and as good as ever. IMO the input is a little more lenient than it used to be, too.

Guardians of the Galaxy on sale on PSN/PS5 for $39, so picked it up and am enjoying it so far. Seems they added an RT mode since launch too since that wasn't covered on DF's analysis of it.

Wow, that brings back memories. Wasn't this supposed to be another game, but went into Dev hell, the morphed into this? I recall some sick art and pre-rendered promo stuff during an E3 that looked nothing like this game ended up being.
Yes, it was supposed to be in space or something and very sci-fi heavy... then they released it and it takes place on Earth in some fictional Russian country, which is fine, it still has some sci-fi elements, it's still fun and I'm enjoying it.

Dropped New World in two or three weeks, so I'm done with that.

Bf2042 is a joke.

Forza Horizon 5 crashes on me at the intro- so that's gone, uninstalled and refunded.

So I've been playing RDR2 again. Haven't beaten it yet. So I'm going to have a go at it. Bought a controller and it works flawlessly.

BF2042
Days Gone
And I’ve been thinking about replaying The Last Of Us Remastered. Such a great game.

I'm playing turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole, ham, stuffing and squash.

Probably will throw in Cyberpunk 2077 and Enderal: Forgotten Stories in there, somewhere. :D

Trying to get into Red Dead Redemption 2, but having a difficult go at it.

I'd say be patient, if first time ...it's a bit much with the controls to get a handle on. But I've said it here in the forums, overall in my opinion, it's the best single player game to date.
Fair enough. Yes the controls are a pill, and this whole "locked out of saving" is even more annoying.

Just ran credits on Guardians of the Galaxy (PS5). For the $39 it's going for right now on PSN (or $30 at Best Buy physical), I'd definitely recommend it. The production values, writing/script, and soundtrack are right up there with the movies. Only minor issues I had with it are a couple bugs I ran into where I had to restart at a checkpoint to progress, and some some minor graphical pop in on objects and effects when changing angles. But polish on it isn't quite up to Sony first party titles still (esp with occasional performance dips). Fam enjoyed watching me play it though, so I'm glad I got it on console instead of PC so they could watch.

Final Fantasy XIV, winding down prepping for Endwalker
Forza Horizon 5, really want that McLaren F1 but getting the last few points is tough
Valheim, the new swamp mob is no joke

Ori and the Will of the Wisps which I picked up for myself this latest sale.

SnowRunner where I'm wrapping up the trials and have only 1 DLC map left to go from the year 1 pass (I don't own the year 2 pass).

Hedon: Bloodrite a follow up campaign to a rip roaring retro shooter (GZDoom engine) that was released as a free update to owners.

Monster Hunter: World which my co-op group is trying out to see how it is. One of the players loves the game and the rest of us are on the leery side of things.

Tried BF2042, no thanks wayy to dumbed down for the console kiddies.

Im in a bit of a game drought theres nothing out worth playing right now, might try the relaunch of WW3, seems decent from the few streams iv watched

I've been slowly collecting and enjoying PSX games lately. I picked up a used PS2 at a local trade shop, disassembled it and cleaned it out good, adjusted the optical lens so it read discs reliably, and replaced the loud ass fan in it with a silent noctua fan. I'm using a powered Hyperkin HDMI adapter, which works well. Final Doom and Quake 2 have probably been my favorite so far, though I've also been playing too many other games to list here. On a bit of a retrogaming and nostalgia binge. Not many new games that interest me right now, so I'm just collecting what's good.

Black... Another game I haven't thought about for 15 years. One of the most underrated FPSs of all time, IMO.

Categorically deserves a sequel. One was in the works as I understand, but Criterion wouldn't bend to the new direction EA wanted to take it in (I can imagine what this new "direction" was knowing EA) .

Most of the dev team jumped ship and created Bodycount - a "Spiritual successor" to Black. I don't own that game but I'm keeping an eye out for it, and will play it when I get it.

Video game consumer list for Vacation in 3 days. 9 days total should of taken two weeks but vacation gets reset in Feb too late for Elden Ring. Realistically I'll only play 3-4 games tops and only for the first few days. Only have one set of eyeballs per game. I wouldn't mind taking off for Rainbow 6 extraction that game is going to be the bomb.

I started mad max on pc, it goes really well, I have 100+ fps 1080p on my configuration, all ultra and high settings ... I might finish this game, it is suitable for 1080p resolution and not bad, I usually start each game a little and immediately I give up ... and I bought mad max in 2019.

This was a great sleeper hit. I got it free on PS+/PS4 a few years ago and had never heard anything about it, so tried it on a whim and had a blast with it the whole campaign. Think I picked it on cheap on Steam soon afterwards too so I could replay it maxed out at 120Hz, but alas too many other games in the backlog and other newer/bigger titles have taken precedence.
