I have a 3070 in my laptop. Are there any must do settings in the nv cp? I have power mode to set max perf. Anything else I should change in there? Or is tweaking the cp overblown?

Thanks!

Nvidia dropped a new driver and it's talked about here if it's kind what your asking ..

I think my video is different then what your looking for but it does add to the control panel a new item .

So all I need to do is put the image scaling setting to 67% in the cp for 1440p monitor resolution and that's it? Do I need to change my in game resolution as well?

I'm in the same boat as learning , I didn't think the panel needed changing just the image scaling setting as you said ..

For a laptop, I don't know. But these are things that I change:

Manage 3D settings
  • Power management mode = Prefer maximum performance
  • Preferred refresh rate = Highest available
  • Max frame rate = 95 FPS
  • Vertical sync = On
Set up G-SYNC
  • Enable G-SYNC for windowed and full screen mode.
I set the max frame rate to 95 FPS since I run my monitor at 98 Hz with my PG27UQ. When I'm using my FO48U I set it to 117 FPS since I run that at 120 Hz. Vertical sync is set to On so G-SYNC is synced with the scan out of the monitor for the best smoothness.

You only need to do this if you want to use the new image scaling feature in the newest driver to improve performance. If you're not having performance issues then you don't need to do this.

Yeah. I limit my FPS in the games menu not the control panel. Everything else I have set though. Thank you. I read that put image scaling to 67% for 1440p native resolution. Learning to.
