Combo. I usually let Windows update do its thing and then snag drivers directly for various elements (Mobo, GPU, Intel/AMD, Soundcard etc etc etc). Probably helps that I'm not running much of anything I expect Windows update to mess up. Prebuilt hardware from some one like Dell...after Windows...

Maybe, maybe not. Could speculate to a DP4a fallback (like XeSS). With a further fallback to the non-AI method used in FSR 2/3. Providing a solution with an even broader reach.

That might not be that odd of an idea. Apple's MetalFX use's elements of FSR for it's AI enhanced upscaler as well.
