    LG 38GL950G - 37.5" 3840x1600/G-Sync/175Hz

It looks like the most recent firmware is 1.20, which is likely what your monitor is using. I can't figure out how to know what the firmware is being used because it doesn't list it in the OSD "information" section of the the monitor UI. As an aside, a couple of things I've noticed with this...

EVGA 3080 black screen issue. Anyone else.

I have the exact same experience with my 3080 XC3 ultra. It never happens while running a game. Just a random black screen while on the desktop lasting for just a few seconds at most. Firmware is up-to-date. Since we have the exact same GPU (other than mine has a hybrid cooler), I suspect...

    Mult-Radiator Configuration

I think maybe I could mount a 280mm CPU AIO in the top of the 680X, then the 240mm GPU AIO in the front. I did measure my 3080 and it'll fit even with the front AIO and fan, but it's going to be close. The other case I've been looking at is the Fractal Design Define 7. I like the look of the...

    Mult-Radiator Configuration

Perfect, thanks for the links. Guy in the video says 280mm top, 360mm in front. He says that if you use a 360 in front, there won't be enough room for a 280mm on top. But.. the way he's mounted the front radiator looks odd. Just put the fans on the opposite side and maybe the 240mm GPU rad will...

    Mult-Radiator Configuration

Hey guys.. so I'm going to start work on a new build. I'm planning on using the Corsair Crystal Series 680X. The thing I'm a bit confused about is how to mount two radiators (CPU 360 mm + GPU 240 mm). I imagine the 360mm would mount on top, and the 240mm on the front, blowing forward, out the...

An EVGA AIO is totally worth installing. I have one on my 3080 XC3 Ultra and it is fantastic.

    Deshrouding a EVGA XC3 3080 - Advice Please

For sure. I get similar results with my 3080 when cranked to the max with ~350w dumped into the radiator (needs mo powah). I set the fan speed at 50% under load, with temp ~65c, and the noise seems noticeably less than the stock fans. Interesting idea to swap out the fans, but for my setup I...

    Deshrouding a EVGA XC3 3080 - Advice Please

I installed that on my 3080 a few weeks ago. Works quite well. It's pretty amazing how hot the radiator is to the touch, even at idle. The fans work fine with afterburner. A custom curve does allow the fans to shut off even though afterburner shows 30% fan speed.

If you close afterburner, it will retain the most recent settings if you reboot. The GPU won't change it on its own. Editing this to mention that it that once you apply the profile, rebooting the system without again loading afterburner, the settings persist. You could uninstall afterburner.

Re: temps. I bought an AIO for $110. It crushes the heat, while being much quieter. Because I also have an AIO on my CPU, I had to get creative with the GPU radiator in order to make sure the it's higher than the pump. I'm not particularly concerned with appearance, and got it done. With an AIO...

    Samsung SSD Over Provisioning

Thanks. Make sense. I'll leave it as-is unless free space becomes an issue.

    Samsung SSD Over Provisioning

Well, as I mentioned, I was having a problem being able to create a system image. I've solved that, and I was able to shrink the "C:" partition in order to create a 93 GB over-provision. But if I understand what you said, there's no reason to have an overprovision on any of my SSDs because the...

    Samsung SSD Over Provisioning

Hello gents, Could use some advice on disk configuration. There are 4 Samsung SSDs and 1 mechanical drive. Disk 0, 1, 2 are SSDs, using Magician to set a 10% over-provision. Disk 4 is an m.2 970 EVO. Disk 3 is mechanical. I was having a problem attempting to create a system image. It...

    LG 38GL950G - 37.5" 3840x1600/G-Sync/175Hz

Yes, definitely experience that as well. It doesn't happen often enough for it to be all that annoying, and it seems that once the monitor is on for a few minutes, it doesn't do it. Mine has done it basically from day 1.

I still find that odd. His comment above the screen shot says it's after running the benchmark, not during. I can't imagine it says it's idle when the benchmark is running. What's it say during the benchmark?
