Any reason for the 24 over the 27 besides personal preference? I know the 27 has all those extra inputs that the cheaper 2411Z doesn't have so it's prolly got a bit less input lag.
So what exactly would i need to tweak or change between a 30fps game and a 60fps game and is there anyway to easily make them presets so i can jump between the settings as needed?
Thanks for the link XoR, I've been reading the forums there and I found this post in response to the same question:
But not all console games run 60fps so will I see issues with this 60hz strobing in games that run sub 60fps?
I think the games i'm not seeing an improvement in are games that are very cpu intensive and thus my graphics card was never the lowest common denominator my cpu was. I'll have to figure out how to overclock my old sandybridge cpu and see if that helps.
Just installed this OC'ed GTX 780 graphics card, which is way more powerful than anything else in my 2 year old computer. When i updated my windows score it dropped in both graphics and hard drive speed...what in the world is going on? My performance in some games hasnt improved.
So I ordered the 780 but it's come to my attention I'll likely have to flash my mobo (Z68A-GD55 (B3)) to run this card, after which I wont really be able to overclock my sandy bridge cpu very effectively. (see post here) I'm not reay to drop another $500-600 on a mobo and cpu so my questions...
So I'm ordering from newegg and I'd like a card that is quiet and comes pre-overclocked so i don't have to fuss with any of that stuff ever. I don't see the twin Frozr on newegg any other suggestions?
Oh alright I couldn't find any comparisons between the two at 1440p I knew it was about 25% faster than the 2gb version at 1080 but i thought it scaled better. Looking at the current newegg offerings which oc'ed version of the 780 would you go with?
That seems to be the sentiment, should I go...
So I'm looking to finally get a shadowplay capable card that can run and record games in 1440p on my UltraSharp U2713HM. I didn't want to spend more than $400 but after some reading I'm starting to wonder if I shouldn't bite the bullet and get the 780. A few points I've seen mentioned that...
Well I think I'll order a 4GB 770 from newegg unless someone expects a big price drop in price in the near future.
Newegg has no sales tax here, if you were to order now, which would you get?
$379 GIGABYTEhttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125462 5% off
$389 PNY...
Thanks for all the great info Dangman, now I've got more questions! I'll number em to keep it neat.
1. so you agree the 770 GTX 4GB is the way to go?
2. Someone on reddit recommended this...
