Got a 5800x to replace a 7700k at launch @ msrp. No plans to upgrade... for a very long time.

I hope that they're able to block this shit in hardware in the next revision. I'm still frustrated that miners are taking all the cards and I can't even get the card I want for my VR setup. I wonder how much ecological damage is being done with all the power that's being wasted on this, too...

Though really, is there anything to even upgrade to if you've got a Vive Pro with a wireless adapter and Index controllers? Changing anything in that setup will mean a downgrade on some level*, and the newest bit of that kit is from mid-2019. * : Like giving up wireless for a higher resolution...

Yeah. I remember a while ago realizing that even individual seconds seem to past more quickly than they used to. Weird. I think that my own perception of time started shifting sharply at around 20, and time has felt like it's been getting faster and faster since.

I'll get it if they bring out a new wireless adapter or get the old one to run the headset at full resolution. While I'm far happier with the resolution of the Vive Pro compared to the original Vive, it could definitely be better. ...And going back to wired isn't going to happen. The Pro 2 does...

Wow. *checks Newegg* The MSRP of that 3070 I ordered in October has gone up by $200 😲 So glad that I'm not video card shopping now.

Did you make sure all the fans were spinning? If one goes out/is blocked/whatever, the others can spin at 100% after anything that would put load on the system occurs, even if the temperatures are fine. It happened to me once when I was working on a SFF build.
