You'll find that almost all competitive fighting games are also locked to 60fps regardless of platform. Per the devs, it just makes balancing things easier when every frame matters. To a degree, Soulslike games are kinda sorta fighting games. It's less than ideal, but it's an area where I'm...
I'd be shocked if they were still doing any work on this game beyond potentially adding DLC outfits or something like that. If the stuttering and frame-gen stuff was fixable, they would have done it by now. It's clearly a load-bearing wall within the code or whoever could have done something...
After playing it 2'ish months ago I'd say the game was still very much a work in progress. It wasn't full-on busted like some other recent games, but it was a pretty long way from ideal. That's after 25'ish of their 30 updates, too. That seems to be the way of the world, though. Games are...
Did they ever finalize support for DLSS frame-gen? That was one of the only ways I was able to get a smooth gameplay experience, but it was unsupported and pretty buggy.
If they aren't selling, they aren't selling. It's not like retailers want to maintain a product that they have to organize for the 2-3 people that still buy disks. Especially when they can fill that space with something that will sell. My local grocery stores have killed off their Red Box...
No issues thus far. Installed this yesterday and made all my normal BIOS value changes with no problems. It's worth noting that this one warns you that you can't go back to older BIOS versions when you install it. I don't think I've seen that warning for previous versions. It also reboots the...
They seem to take just about anything back within 30 days. At least within reason I'd assume. They'll ask you why for the sake of knowing if they can resell it, but I don't think they care beyond that. I've returned 4-5 things over the years ranging from incorrect adapters to motherboards with...
Out here they pre-allocated them. They gave out tickets the day before and even had a sign on the door that said they didn't plan on having any extras. I don't necessarily love that policy, but it beats camping out for nothing.
Good to know that they're thriving elsewhere. Like you, I buy everything there minus items they don't carry...which isn't much. Occasionally they'll go ham and over/under order certain motherboards, but that's the only major category I've personally noticed. The fact that they seem to have a...
They probably know that the game isn't that long. Giving people 2 weeks will allow people on the fence to blow through it pretty easily. 2 hours is enough time to get people onboard to give 'em some $.
Their prices are pretty much the same as Amazon, although I like that I can get something today. If I don't like it and want a refund, I can also take care of that right then, too. No dealing with shipping things back and hoping/waiting. Ditto with being able to actually see things face-to-face...
I don't live anywhere near there, but I'm glad to see Microcenter expanding and doing well. The Denver store is always packed to the point that there's a long line for the checkout. Hopefully their other stores are like that, too.
