I don't expect companies to keep online games up indefinitely, offer downloads indefinitely, and I don't expect companies to allow you to play on their servers for free.
But I think companies could do better at either 1 ) Giving players the...
i'm just thinking about all those console guys that bought the game and now they have a worthless box/disc sitting on their shelves. might as well throw it in the trash at this point.
they're probably seeing how bad the backlash was gonna be...
And that seals that...

It's not cosmetics but gameplay content that is locked behind the season passes. Fat ass NOPE!
I joined this board just to say thank you for your post. I know it's 4 years old now but. So anyways I've got 3 hard drives in this PC Win XP, Win 7 and Win 10. My audigy 2 stopped working with Win 10 after an update but the other OS's it...
Ubi is apparently removing licenses in order to totally kill the game even after the servers were shutdown. There appears to be a workaround at least but who knows if Ubi will try to stop that as well...
I would like more awareness of this. I know many of us know that it is only a temporary usage license for games and software, but I would like more of the masses to realize this to help push it into something else.
Like if i buy a toaster, i own...
some boxed games don't even come with a disc anymore just a download code, some others just come with a partial install, the rest has to be downloaded.

I had kind of hoped it would go all the way...

if i remember correctly i don't think the NN rules apply to mobile carriers
and i think i remember something from not too long ago about one of them limiting netflix to low bitrates.
edit: i'm having trouble finding the article, it could've...
dude, net neutrality is literally the embodiment of free market. it says that X service can't get priority over company Y that's being limited because they didn't want to pay an extortion fee that actually doesn't even exist right now. it's for...
A lot of people see a bad regulation, and instead of wanting to fix that regulation, their first reaction is "regulation = bad"
I'd argue in many cases "no regulation" is just as bad as, and sometimes maybe even worse than "bad regulation".
The...
Net Neutrality is conceptually a good thing; I find it concerning that certain vested interests attempting to just make up often contrary descriptions has worked as well as it has. In short, Net Neutrality just means that from a all...
