Windows 11 available on October 5

Yeah, it looks like shit. But if someone wants their computer to look like shit for $5 bucks, it's their computer. They can do what they want.
The worst thing I have ever seen from helping elderly with their computers is the freaking AOL Desktop launcher. I don't know how or why it ends up on their computers, but it's an overlay that makes everything look like Windows 95 and it's slower than crap. https://get.aol.com/aol-desktop-gold

But yes, this start menu looks like complete dookie.

I just use the taskbar like that for webpage scaling turns my 21.5 inch monitor into a 18 inch monitor. Best 5.00 I spent all year it might take Microsoft 2 years to change it up.

Installed 11 on my laptop and so little changed other than the centered start menu that I really don't even notice it. Might actually give it a go on my main machine next time it gives me the option, already have the amd chipset drivers installed.
My only concern is that i'm hearing that you can't modify the start menu location on secondary monitors? I prefer to have it on the right side on my second (and 3rd) monitors, and definitely require having it available on secondary monitors...

Installed it on my Surface Pro 6 to test the waters. FIgured that it is a Microsoft device it must be decent. Went back to 10 after 30 mins. There is a slight lag when right-clicking on the desktop and other various UI issues. Drove me nuts. 10 was perfect, maybe I'll try again in a year...
