Anyone have much information about this?

Heard it is using the new tigerlake with pci 4.0 , thunderbolt 4 (usb4) which is just usb 3 to the max, and lpddr4, and wifi 6 build in.

Been trying to find a small but powerful system that doesn't take up much space.

Like you, I'm really interested in the "Extreme" segment of the Intel NUC lineup.

I went with a 7.2L SFF case about two and a half years ago... but come the end of this year, any new purchase for me is probably between a costly laptop, or a Intel NUC system.

I'm personally most interested in the "Hades Follow On" system (shown in black, in the second line and second block) which this diagram mentions.

That is, I'm more interested in an "underpowered" 1.35L system or a decent (but costly) laptop, than upgrading the 7.2L SFF system I have.

I don't know if a name for that 1.35L system has been confirmed yet, though.

Maybe someone here does!

Or maybe you're talking about a system scheduled to release, even after the one which I like?

I believe the code name is Phantom Canyon.

I’ve got one of these arriving tomorrow loaded with 16Gb Ram and a 500Gb NVME. I’m happy to exchange thoughts and ideas with other owners, as they come on stream.

FYI this out and not a bad value at all for what it is. Most places for you to buy a kit (RAM, SSD(s) (most come with optane + nvme, though some just NVME) and Windows. I scored a bare bones, won't post benchmarks because mine is not complete. I transported the 16gb of 2400 (kingston) and the samsung PM961 500gb from my old NUC EXTREME over to it. I'll OC the RAM later.

Yes it's tiger lake, yes it has PCIE 4.0 but those lanes are only connected to the RTX 2060gpu. It's got four display options out, can do 8k 30hz (not 4 though lol), yes wifi 6. It's also very port heavy with hdmi, dp, tb4, typeC, and a bunch of type A's blah blah if you've seen a nuc extreme you know the drill.

The only "catch" is that the m.2 lanes are 3.0 as the GPU eats up all the 4.0. I don't think that matters now.
