Star Citizen - media blowout, Chris Robert's new game

DWolvin, I am sure there is going to be a few Tali's that will be needing crew members, like mine.

2.0D is a great patch, I got to play for at least 30mins or so without crashing. Enough time to fly 2 different ships, die a couple times, and gun for a tali. That's what finally crashed me.

edit- here's some gameplay, hunting around an asteroid belt. https://youtu.be/Nj7Lw1Uy6xY

Guys shame on all of you. You wanting to play the game forced the developers to be shackled to their desks fixing bugs by Chris "Tyrannical" Roberts. Why don't you think of the developers and their well being.
It was all clearly done to get that sweet sweet money so Chris "The Great Spender" Roberts can buy himself a walk in humidor addition to his office.

The proof is all here, we are closing in $97M, Shame, SHAAAME!

I wanted them to stop working Tuesday already, despite the crashes people go head first back into 2.0 PTU, leave some analytical software running and crunch the data next week.

A $2500 TV stand, actually, but you could argue it is essential for a money starved company that has to rely on steady new income to be able to finish the game they've promised. It allows them to move it around while showing the latest picture that will cover its cost several times over, so a prudent investment I would say.

Now seriously, do you guys not find it troubling at all that it is 11/2015 and they have nothing to show of SQ42 to one of the biggest gaming magazines besides editor shots and marketing talk? A big and complex game that is supposed to come out in 2016 and they have nothing working to show of it. Is your devotion so blind that you can just brush away and justify any and all warning signs and come out with a positive justification for anything? Or do you just not care how much money, time and broken promises it will take to get it out? Can CIG seriously do no wrong in your eyes?

No CCU for the Phoenix.

So much for that.

EDIT: They've made over $100k on Phoenixes already, wow.

The stuff in the PTU (and everything else) is the same stuff that will be in SQ42, the only difference is SQ42 has a storyline.

So basically, we are already seeing SQ42, just none of the story.

Go find something else to cry about.

Edit: Besides, most people dont even care about SQ42. I might not even play it, the PU is essentially the entire point of the game.

I'm sorry that the mention of those issues upset you. You don't have to be mean about it, just don't participate outside the hugbox and you'll be safe from hurt feelings. Lashing out in such a manner indicates an unhealthy connection to the project.

Wow, the ship upgrade tool doesn't work on my phone...I guess no Phoenix upgrade for me.

there are no phoenix upgrades, its limited.

only way to get a phoenix is full purchase of the ship, which means unless you already had a phoenix upgrade sitting around you can't get an LTI version of it.

To that point, the Constellation Phoenix has proven so popular that RSI produces only a select number every sales season, a tactic that has done well to preserve it’s high demand and resale value year after year. For 2945, Roberts Space Industries is proud to release another 5000 hulls, matching it’s generous rollout from the year before. This year however, in order to maintain a finite and limited stock, Cross-Chassis Upgrade to the Phoenix will not be enabled. This ship will remain on sale throughout the weekend, ending either when time runs out, or the limited stock is exhausted.

I have a feeling i will some how buckle and unmelt my phoenix upgrade and add the phoenix back to my fleet roster even tho i feel i don't need it lol. While also keeping the Orion that is replacing it.

I don't really see myself being able to use a Phoenix that often anyways. I kinda just want it cause it's the posterboy of the game. If the Warden had cargo space I'd probably just change my entire fleet to Wardens.

Played some Alpha 2.0 in the living room this morning via my Steam Link, just chilling. I love this Steam Controller.

How well does it work with it? Does it feel natural or at least better than with Xbox One controller?

It has a learning curve that a lot of people sadly might not be willing to invest in. Once you get the controls down how you like it, it feels more natural then the bone controller, but some people are just stick people.

Hmm... Interesting. I don't really mind about learning curve - I can adapt. Who knows, maybe I buy one at some point.

Sandi and Agent Scully

Gillian Anderson plays the daughter of Admiral Bishop (Gary Oldman) in Squadron 42.

Current Fleet, feels a bit odd knowing the Orion is $25 cheaper than the Phoenix it is replacing lol.

Orion is just so much more ship, as well as the potential UEC it could earn camping in an asteroid belt and mining/processing it.

50000 new invites to PTU alpha 2.0 are out. Check your accounts, go go go. We need to assemble crews
Edit: Ohh, the invites are for people with account numbers lower than 50000, similar like the old module rollouts.

I gots mine :D

Yeah, see my edit. Invites are based on account number, that means this is the large scale rollout. Next batch will be the next 100-150k accounts and increasing until everyone has one.

im in the 120k range, but i still might just wait to try it until its on the live servers.

yes,

UEE Citizen Record #127135

is mine

Not sure if there are any upgrades i want to pick up while they are available.

I picked up the Cutlass black to m50 upgrade for $0, if i get to 10 referrals and get that free Gladius i would CCU it to a cutlass black for $10 and then to an m50. (i am at 4 of 10 referrals so far)

M50 is one of those ships that i want, but its not something i really want to spend $100 on at this point.

Not sure if there are any other upgrades i should just pick up.

Edit- Taurus to Tali base for $0 seems decent, always thought the retaliator base at $150 was a good deal, maybe sit on that upgrade if i ever want to pick up the base model and then just get the modules for it in game.

Those are good options added, Taurus to Cutlass blue is also free so added that as well

who knows how the 350R is going to change with the 300 series revamp so should be interesting and worth keeping that ccu floating around.

Just Sailed through 98million, man 100million by the end of the year looks like it is going to happen.

So if I buy an upgrade for a p72 should I sit on the upgrade in case I change my mind, or should I apply the upgrade now?

Left the patch downloading while I was at work. Got home like half an hour ago and just tried flying the Connie, it's funny there were people camping outside on the landing pads looking for multicrew ships lol.

Had 3 people waiting when I spawned my ship. We all got in and spent a while looking at the ship and station from the outside. Headed to one of the comm links and jumped in the middle of a firefight. Took out a few pirates then the game crashed. If I had a choice I'd have someone else do the piloting cause the view from the turrets is so much better. Gonna try again and take some screenshots this time.

And yes, multicrew is freaking awesome.
