I love it thanks.
It replaced a RV-02e that I had for years. But that thing was huge and we are to the point where 3.5”,2.5” and 5.25” drives are practically obsolete so the FT05 was the perfect replacement.
It comes in black too.
Thanks for the info Tony.
I found an FT05 in the color/configuration I wanted and ordered it.
I’ve been using an RV02-e for years now and love it but it is a bit big and I no longer need 5.25 or 3.5 drives so the FT05 is a perfect replacement.
So I pulled the trigger on a MSI 1070 Aero OC. It idles at 27c with the fan at it's lowest setting. Not bad for a blower fan, right?
I haven't put it under load yet.
Do you think I can get a reasonable OC with one of those cards in the RV02-e case? My hunch is yes because it's an amazing case for air cooling. But that's IF you don't mess up the airflow with a non-blower card so I think I would get better performance with a blower card.
I am looking for a GTX 1070 with blower fan (it's for a Silverstone Raven RV02-e.) Any recommendations?
How does the Founders Edition compare to non FE aftermarket units with blower fans? Also, are the aftermarket FE the same as Nvidia's FE?
Exactly. At $150 it doesn't make sense. I just bought a EVGA 1gb 460 for $150. You can't always find a 460 at $150 but it's easy to find them at $170 which still doesn't make sense to pay $150 for a 550.
You should have received an email from Newegg. The text of the email has been posted in other threads here.
Basically it said that they are extending the exchange/return policy by 90 days (120 days total) or up to the time when the new boards are available, whichever is greater.
I just got this email from Newegg:
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you. Newegg has recently become aware of a design issue that is affecting recent models of Intel Sandy Bridge platform motherboards. We are working with Intel to identify the exact nature of this problem...
