Is the 350nm process 30 years old sure, but is it good enough for a cheap automotive sector you bet! and would it likely be exactly what they need to service the vast majority of their aging military infrastructure? Probably... Either way, good...

I hear ya. Honestly, there have been so many EK quality issues and garbage implementations, I've given up trying to keep track. After years and years of sticking with them for everything wcing, I finally cut them off. When their pricing reached...

EK, Beats, Razer, Corsair.... all of these companies exist as marketing companies who also sell products, if we go by how much they spend on advertising vs. RnD, manufacturing etc. It goes to show that marketing is FAR more paramount to a...

I never understood how they made it out of the first major plating issue fiasco with so many fanboys intact. I don't remember all of the specifics but it was pretty bad and the owner was clearly a big PoS. (Something along the lines of, the...

They did it to AMD, so you know they had to be doing it to Intel too. Makes you wonder if maybe Nvidia is right when they call those AIB’s dirty grubbers who will happily damage your brand for a quick buck.

I mean, in fairness, if I could figure out a way to consult on farming digital currencies instead of going to work every day, I'd probably do it at this point. Not going to Chinese prison though.

“As good as” won’t do, why change up your known functional environment for what is effectively a side grade? There’s too much at risk and too much unknown, AMD and Intel need to be significantly better and not just cheaper to pull customers away...

Nvidia has an hard moat to beat, you need 1) As good/better chips 2) As good/better interconnect-network tech to scale up (Mellanox 6.9 billions was a lot in 2019 and not sure how much for Cumulus, now look really good) 3) Software stack If you...
