So I could build a PC, plug this device in via an SAS cable, (assume I need an SAS controller card in the PC), and my machine would see all 24 drives? Or am I over simplifying it?

I would probably just image each drive to each dedicated external in your case. Makes it easier.

I love my Spinners too

I have bought probably 30 drives from goharddrives and they have always replaced a drive that has gone bad. I have two 10 drive NAS's going and they are all from this company. Had 3 drives go bad and they honored them. Now running 20 of their drives and no issues at all.
